Plan for next FET

Hello,

Just looking to sense check my plan for my next medicated FET with anyone who might have done something similar please!

Background:

One 5BB FET failed in Jan of this year, one fresh transfer (no priming just progesterone) of a frozen day 3 grade 2 embryo resulted in early miscarriage at 5.5 weeks in Oct. We have two more embryos to go. (5BB and 5CC)

We had our call with the consultant on Thursday and we talked through. “Empirical blood thinners and steroids” which I would take take over and above the usual eostrogen pills and patches and the progesterone.

What we talked about was:

1. Some steroids (prednisolone) 20mg taken for just 4 days and that would then be reduced to 10mg and

2. blood thinners taken every day

Has anybody got any experience with any of these? Made a difference? Any side effects?

Will be doing the FET on my next cycle which will be end of the month.

Hello, I’ve had one round on a similar protocol to what you are describing. Progynova, utrogestan, lubion, Prednisolone (same dose) and Inhixa (blood thinning injections). Sadly it was a BFN and I am repeating the same protocol this cycle as the clinic suggested we try again without changing anything. My FET is booked in for Wednesday 😬. I didn’t have many side effects, a few headaches but found drinking loads of water (minimum of 2 litres a day) helped. I also felt a bit bloated but nothing too uncomfortable.
