I’m back after some time and we are doing a fet next week. The clinic has left it to me to decide whether I wanted to do 1 embryo or 2? They are 5 day blastocysts.
We had a FET last month with only 1 embryo but was a negative.
What do you all think?

What’s their suggestion???? Mine suggested two the last fresh transfer ...... I said no! Panicked and did one then the fresh worked until 10.5 weeks ..... then the frozen didn’t survive thaw! Hindsight.... I should have gone with both for the fresh transfer 🤪 I don’t know how many or grades you have but if they’re suggesting two they are probably right 😘😘😘💐
The first one they said only one but now they’re open to two. Bare in mind two years I did three transfer each with two. But this time I’m a bit apprehensive because of twins, as I already have a toddler now. But also this is the last transfer I’m wanting to do. So want to increase my odds.
Well its up to you and if you can manager being pregnant with twins. I always wanted to do two on my first transfer and my doctor talk me out because i have a vasculitis autoimmune disease and he thought twin pregnancy would be too pressuring on the body. I followed his advice, i did not get pregnant so glad i did one embryo. I moved so i decided to switch to a doctor closer for my second try. He introduced steriods and intralipids and he allowed me to put in two because of my first failed now i am 13 weeks pregnant with twins. Now i am in the care of four doctors because i am considered high risk because of the vasculitis. I am now so overwhelmed ,i have 4 different doctor appointments from Tues to Friday next week. I do regret doing it but if your healthy and you think you can do it go for it. Plus its two in one, meaning you dont have to go through it again 😆😂
That’s my worry. I had preeclampsia with my last pregnancy so not sure if I can handle two. But this will also be my last transfer, despite having four grade 5 blastocyst left, I’m just done with all the meds and mental anguish that comes with ivf. So I just want the best odds.
That is with me too I only did transfer twice but this is the end of the road for me. Because i have a 12 year old daughter plus these two coming so three children is enough. I also have six PGS 5 blastocyst left and they will be destroyed if all goes to plan. If i didnot do the embryo testing I would have twelve 5days embryo to toss, which would have made me feel bad. But good luck and pray and talk to your partner about the amount of embryo to transfer
Only do it if you are prepared for twins or triplets - both physically and financially
I transferred 2 and had twins and I was fit and healthy but found a twin pregnancy brutal and was on bed rest from 18 weeks and all 3 of us nearly died and twins were in NICU for a few weeks
Oh goodness that sounds tough. That is my worry as I don’t think my body and mind can handle twins. But I am wanting to increase my odds.
Hi, I’m currently day 5 of 2ww, I opted for 2, we had 1 transferred first cycle which was negative, I wanted the best chance so went with 2 this time, hoping for a positive next week 🤞🤞 Do what feels right, if it’s you’re last cycle, go for it! Wishing you luck whatever you decide! X
