Sorry to all the ladies who are currently waiting to start their IVF cycles or currently on the waiting list waiting for there 1st appoint.
So after my surgery in January for endometriosis whixh was removed n they checked my uterus out I have been put on the progesterone only pill so happy as I haven't had a period since December!!! Lol
I've been eating healthy and doing alot of hiit workouts to loose the weight from last years ivf cycle which we did a freeze all.
I would love some advice and tips on what I can do to help prepare myself, should I continue my hiit workout exercises untill next months appointment where they will give me a time scale and breakdown. Or should I stop now?
Also should I start drinking raspberry leaf tea?
Would love some useful tips on things that have been advised to help my chances.
Once again thank you, and ever so grateful to a the wonderful and strong ladies on here xxx

Awww how exciting! How are you feeling? I know I'm feeling relieved that im not far now from my long winded journey but really looking for some advice on what people did to prep for their fet. X
I’m feeling ok, anxious but excited to get started! I know in my fresh cycle I took the 2week wait off work and relaxed, did some walking got lots of fresh air and lots of sleep. My clinic said treat your body like it’s pregnant from transfer so that’s what I did, Iv booked the 2 week wait off this time also as my clinic advise to self isolate after the lining scan so I’m going to relax and watch some trashy tv! X
Hi Jasmeet. Exiting times! Hope you get started soon x
From my research i read that crash dieting and excessive training is not recommended. So personally i wouldnt do major changes around your transfer. Perhaps see what others say.
As prep what wasnt optimal for me last rounds was vit D. So perhaps see if you can do any checks or take a supplement as preparation. X x
Thanks lovely, I've been exercising and changed my diet around 6montha ago so I'm hoping my body notices it as a lifestyle change and not just a quick change for just my prep for fet. Or I could be wrong, after your response I'm contemplating as to whether I should cut out the intense workouts workouts start doing something a little more gentler for my body. I really appreciate your advise and guidance, I've been taking 1400 iu of vitamin D daily with vitamin C and pregnancies and cod liver oil I've been doing this again for 8months so hoping it's in my system and helps and makes a difference. How are you getting along on your journey? And where abouts are u if u don't mind me asking. Xxx
I really hope you get some answers soon Mimisami as not knowing can lead to constantly reading and trying to self diagnose and can b stressful. I hope your looking after yourself and being kind to yourself. This whole infertility journey isn't easy and plays horrible mind games and makes u feel like absolute shit. I have been doing alot of cardio workouts for the past 6months to shed the weight in time for when I do my transfer, if u want in depth details I can always send you links from YouTube.
I hope you get your results and fingers crossed they tweak your protocol so you can feel confident in going into your next transfer. Let me know how u get on, would love to stay in touch xx
Hi. Its definitely exciting waiting for treatment to start. Wish you all the best.
I would suggest starting ‘ivf fertility yoga’ lots of different videos on utube and find some that are suitable through the tww also. Started the month before my FET so my body gets used to them specific stretchs.
I also started rasberry leaf tea a month before as you can drink this in ur normal cycle too which is usually recomended from day period finishes to around ovulation so roughly for 2weeks. I stopped drinking couple days before transfer.
Set a routine in place jus before u start ivf so u can associate the ‘calm relaxation’ with ur ivf. Its very small things. For example i wud have honey lemon water each morning and watch a half hour utube clip which is my happy time. Each evening i would have a quick shower, take my rasberry lead tea in bed and put a candle on and read. All this kept my mind sane. This really helped me through ivf process especially the 2ww. Also Keep ur feet warm so wear double socks and sit with blanket when chilling on the sofa.
I took L argenine, vit e, cod liver oil and stopped these just before transfer. And the usual vit d, follic acid, pregnacare throughout.
I made a ‘food timetable’ consisting of breakfast, snack1, lunch, snack2, dinner. So i could fit my 3/5fruit n veg a day along with pomegranate juice and small handful of mixed nuts and divide them between meals as apposed to forcing 4fruits in one go.
I also Had atleast half avocado everyday and added spinach in most meals. Also added chia seeds on whatever i could.
I say all this but unfortunately my FET failed which shows it probably just comes down to luck, so all we can do is give our body the best chance possible so atleast there are no regrets from our side as we know we did absolutely everything in our power.
Also im just writing what i did and what worked for me by reading things other women did on here. Hope this helps x
Hey FM91, Wow thank you for the in depth reply I really appreciate it. I'm really sorry to hear that your fet round wasn't successful, I hope you are feeling okay and hopefully brought up enough strength and courage to go again when ready. Its crazy, that when you feel your ultimate best and your in the best shape and eat the most richest n nutrient foods that it didn't impact or help. I purely think your right and it comes down to luck. I really hope next time is your time!!!
It takes an unbelievable amount of will power and strength to restrict and be strict on yourself especially when you know it's to get your body ready and to act as if your currently pregnant. It's so difficult. But I hope you do another round soon, and I think as much as it's the only thing on my mind. I want to try and take a slightly calmer n easier approach and basically binge and comfort eat a little when I do get to the 2ww. Alongside with having my greens etc.
Hope your well, and I love how you did food timetable. I'm definitely going to pinch that fab idea of yours!!! I guess it made the life a little easier n not so stressful thinking about what you are going to cook etc..
Have a lovely evening, would love to keep in touch and know how u get along xxx
Most definitely ur right. Dont stop urself if you fancy anything. I didnt stop any ‘bad foods’ but just added all my good foods so atleast i had both as apposed to thinking if im junking there is no point in eating healthy. Im having a ten day ‘detox’ but the opposite way lol, Where im not having a schedule of anything. Iv stopped all my tablets and vitamins. This weeks my break both mentally and physically. Next monday im going to start with my vitamins and yoga and more greens as im hoping to start my next FET next cycle (currently on my period so hopinh to start on my next period). Im in a good enough mental space atm so i just want to make the most of it and do the next round as i feel good and positive generally as a whole. Definitely do whatever works for you. Theres too many ups and downs with this process so just allow yourself to feel whatever it is you feel. I really wish it works for you. I pray noone has to be in this position, just horrible. But also grateful we have a beautiful thing like ivf that exists for us to have a chance at making our dream 💭. Definitely would love to keep in touch. Wish you all the best. Truly, from my heart💕
