hi all! I have taken norethisteron for 5 days, i am now 7 days post with still no bleed.
This was all to induce a bleed to start a FET cycle. I have a scan on day 10 if still no bleed.
any advice as to why i wouldnt respond to this? And also has anyone ever had a FET without a bleed if scan was done and lining/womb looked ok?
please advise
Can’t comment about the fet but it might be that you just didn’t take it at a high enough dose or need to wait a little longer? I have only taken it for 10 days three times a day and usually then bleed after 5-7 days in the past.
I had a similar experience with another drug to induce period. I had no bleeding, had a mini panic and turned out they put me on the lowest dose.
Hopefully period is just a day or so away
Yes, it can take longer. Sometimes 8-10 days, so hopefully just coming. It also depends what day of your cycle you took it from and how long for? I can't remember how many days, but I remember the first time taking it from a different day in my cycle (early, like day 9) and then a different nurse telling me that was wrong and it had to be from day 14 or later!
Fingers crossed its just coming, otherwise the scan will tell you where you are.
It's so frustrating isn't it, you don't want anything to delay it, and so many things crop up. Such a roller coaster of emotions. I hope it comes and the cat is successful for you!
Me too. Have faith, past behaviour is usually a good indicator. So day 9 or 10 is likely! Good luck!
Everytime I have taken norethisteron it has taken around 2 weeks for my bleed to come, clinic have always just said it can take longer for some people so try not to worry.
and was that just 5 day course or longer?
FET cancelled due to thin lining and delayed bleed

No bleed after failed FTE
No period after provera
