Hi all, about to start on 4th ICSI round, new clinic. I did get quite a lot of side effects on short protocol with menopur, manageable but difficult due to underlying health issues and demanding job.
I am going to be down regged with buserelin, then stimmed with Meriofert and gonal f.
What side effects have people had (or not) with especially buserelin as hoping to work through down reg then be off/reduced duties for start of stims. I already have brain fog from ME, migraines and mood swings from PCOS
Just want to be prepared for what may come!
Thanks x

Hey purplehedgehog, with Buserelin I would say the low mood (I cried a lot), brain fog and headaches were the worst (so kind of what you experience already) - but I started drinking 3 litres of water a day and honestly felt like a new person!! So I recommend doing that from the start. I started to feel much better once I started Meriofert.
I had a similar protocol and it was my best yet in terms of blasts, so hoping it works well for you 🤞🏼🤞🏼 good luck x
Hi Purplehedgehog. Most common are headaches and night sweats. Make sure to drink plenty of water to help your little pituitary gland. Good luck. Diane
I’m on day 16 of Buserelin , started my Fostimon & menopur yesterday .
The first week I was was ok but the second week I started feeling very tired . Had headaches the first few days also but I’m drinking 2litres of water everyday and that seems to help . xx
Hi, you’re not alone, I’m taking burserelin for 6 weeks now, many side effects like sweat at night, hot flash, dry month dry eyes, headache, tired, start meriofert and Gonal f this week, Body got used to it, but feel worse, I drank at least 3 litres per day, lots of veg and fruit, the fluid and sleep help release the symptoms
I ended up having to have prostap as buserelin massive shortage everywhere. That wasn't too bad but now on meriofert, seem to have slowed digestion, indigestion regardless of drinking plenty, good amount of fibre (like I always do) and moving around regularly. Anyone got any other tips? X
