Progesterone side effects

Hi everyone, newbie here 🙋‍♀️

This is my first ICSI cycle and I had my day 3 ET on Thursday.

I started taking the progesterone gel on Tuesday and just wondered when any of you started to get possible side effects from it?

I've been really lucky so far as I didn't have any side effects from the down reg or stims meds, so I'm hoping I might be lucky with the progesterone too...

I would be grateful to hear when you started to experience any side effects.

Hi there, on my fresh cycle I started noticing side effects around 5/6 days past 5dt. It was mainly bloating, really bad gas and sore boobs that were the most noticeable ones, basically all the symptoms of pregnancy 🙈very confusing!! x

If you don't mind me asking, was that cycle successful, so could have been pregnancy related, or not so definitely the progesterone? X

I did get a BFP but unfortunately I miscarried at 6 weeks x

Hi,

I had bloating and an upset stomach. I was on the pessaries not gel though, so may have explained the upset tum!

Really found them not too bad though so fingers crossed you’ll be grand! X

I've been so bloated this time with the gel and its been playing havoc on my bowel too. Also woke up the other morning with sharp stomach pains but nurse said would also be side effect of gel x

Well, in my experience I’ve had all kinds of effects.

Before any pregnancies, I took the progesterone pill and came out in a million spots and had terrible outbursts.

When I went on it via pessaries with estrogen with my fresh transfer I was bloated and moody.

This time with bfn nothing, perfect skin infact looking better than ever so I’d say if you feel and look like crap your probably onto a good thing xx

I took utrogestan pills, pessaries, suppositories as well as subcutaneous and intramuscular injections. I felt very tired and faint all the time and bloated.
