No side effects on Buserelin

Im currently on day 8 of injections and ive had no side effects apart from waking with a mild headache on a couple of days. Is this normal?

My clinic advised me that the side effects are menopausal like but so far nothing. I have my baseline scan on may 23rd and im now overthinking everything and I’ve basically convinced myself its not working! I’ve had side effects in both ivfs (both short protocol) and even sufferd with OHSS but this is my first time using Buserelin (doing a frozen transfer) so i was expecting the worse.

I’ve been on buserelin for the last 3 weeks and have no symptoms. I had my down regulation scan last week and it had worked perfectly so I’m now taking oestrogen to thicken my lining ready for my transfer.

I took prostap, which does the same thing as buserelin, for a previous cycle, but I was on it for 3 months and I had terrible hot sweats which only started after the first month.

So no symptoms from buserelin doesn’t mean anything is wrong. X

Thank you ladies! I’m clearly overthinking everything.

Another quick question for you, did AF arrive as normal whilst on buserelin and was the flow as it normally is? Im currently on day 10 of injections and no sign of AF which is normally like clockwork (3 days late) My clinic told me to call them if I haven’t had a bleed within 14 days of starting the injections.

Hiya, Buserelin always delayed my period. One time it was 2 days late another time it was 5 days late. AF will come just that it’s normal to be delayed.

For me it came at the normal time and lasted a normal length. However I did ask the clinic what to expect and they said it’s different for everyone ie some people have a delay. X

Thank you ladies, you were all right! Af arrived and I had my baseline scan yesterday and my lining was 1.2mm and both ovaries were inactive.
