is my hcg dropping?

Hi Ladies,

Feeling desperate for some answers. Currently 4 weeks and 6 days pregnant. Tuesday (4 weeks 4 days) I had some very light 1 time spotting and started progesterone immediately. Took a clear blue week indicator test and said 2-3 weeks which would be the correct stage. I STUPIDLY just took another clear blue week indicator and it’s gone down to 1-2 weeks, I haven’t spotted again but I have 0 symptoms. My first pregnancy ended in miscarriage and my only symptom was sore boobs. Second pregnancy was successful and only symptom was sore boobs. So I don’t know what to think but I am scared. I didn’t cope well with the miscarriage and I just want to know. Thanks for reading I’d you got this far x

i would try not to get to worried about the tests as there us so many reasons that they can change diluted urine , not the first pee of the day etc i would get yourself some bkoods tests done 48 hours apart as they would be more accurate to explain whats happening.

Thank you, I took another test this morning and it has gone back to 2-3. I am going to ask for bloods so fingers crossed xxx

sorry you’re worried about this. My advice is, since you’re already pregnant, is to step away from the urine tests and either go for a BHCG blood test (which needs to be repeated within 48-72 hours) or wait for a scan, which I can understand may be a longer wait than you’d like. The purpose of a urine test is to tell you whether you’re pregnant or not, which you are, it doesn’t help tell you whether the pregnancy is progressing. Wishing you all the best xx

Thankyou. I have a scan booked for Thursday so I am just going to try and enjoy the fact I am pregnant now. Unfortunately they are reluctant to do beta tests as for them there is no reason to worry. My test however did go back to 2-3 this morning so that’s the end of testing for me. Not worth the stress xxx

I know how anxious you must feel! Could you ask your GP to do some bloods to check what’s going on. I know the CBD weeks can be really unreliable but they have sadly indicated correctly my misscariages but I wouldn’t trust that alone bloods are the only thing at your early stage that will help understand what’s happening. Xx

Thank you, the same thing happen to me with my miscarriage, however I bled the day it dropped down. My gp said no bloods at this time unfortunately. This mornings test was back up to 2-3 so I’m hoping I was just super hydrated. No more testing and just praying all is well xx
