Thin lining issues driving me crazy

This is my first time posting and I suppose I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance or encouragement as I feel very deflated and like there is no end in sight :(.

Been TTC 3 years. My first FET was cancelled to thin lining. This is now my second FET, been on 6mg estrogen tablets and 2 100mcg patches (changed every 4 days) and just had my day 12 scan and like before my lining is only 5.5mm.

I was hoping the patches would make a difference as I didn’t have them last time but clearly not. Been told to double my tablets to 12mg and rescan in 5 days.

Is there still hope or should I expect the worst? Feeling very sad

Hopefully the increase in medication will encourage the lining to thicken up Try to be more active [ physical activity may increase pelvic blood flow ] maybe 15- 20 mins a day Ask clinic if they can suggest any supplements that may help

Good luck with scan in 5 days

I’ve been trying to keep active but will try to do more walking each day. I’ve asked the clinic if they can give me oestrogen pessaries as well me taking it orally so fingers crossed for that too. Thanks for getting back to me really appreciate it

Hi lovely,

I have historically always had lining issues. For my last 3 FETs I ended up on 12mg progynova a day right from the word go - as we knew it would take a while to thicken up - so hopefully with your increased dose it will help a lot.

I have also had times where my lining has increased by 2mm over 2 days - so you have every chance of it plumping up :)

xx

That’s so reassuring to hear. Thanks so much. Fingers crossed it increases by Tuesday xx 🤞

I’m a thin lining sufferer too. I took L-arginine and vitamin E (800iu) for lining. Acupuncture. Yoga for lining (see bettina rae on YouTube) and daily walks. Things that really made difference for me - Got my lining from 3mm to 8mm with using 25mg viagra tablets 4 times a day as vaginal pessaries. Also natural cycle or low dose stims rather than medicated. Also pre transfer have a regular orgasm daily and use heat packs on your lower belly all helps blood flow too.

Medicated cycles just did not work for my lining. Upping doses and using patches etc just made my lining break down and get thinner! I hope you have more luck with the medicated cycle this time. Best of luck

Thank you so much. I have a gut feeling I won’t respond to higher meds either but will see on Tuesday and if not I will ask for pressaries & viagra and failing that a natural modified as my lining is also thin in a natural cycle. Been on the pill around 15 years and I’m sure that’s the reason I’m having issues with lining now

Wishing you so much luck. Meant to say also not to use L-Arginine if before egg collection (I avoided it 3 months before).
