Lining issues

Hi all,

I’m new to this site but it looks like people post some really good answers so I’m really hopeful.

I had my first FET on Tuesday and was told that my lining was only 6.6mm which I’m really nervous about because I’m seen so many things saying it should be at least 7mm to work, 8mm better!

Has anyone had success with a lining as thin as mine? I’m thinking this thin lining might have been the cause of my miscarriages 😔

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jo, the reason I ask as progesterone actually causes your lining to compact for implantation so it may well have been much thicker beforehand and has shrunk due to the affects of progesterone. Most clinics make their decision based on the measurements prior to the progesterone phase and most will allow you to start progesterone over 7mm although some are fussier at 9mm. xx

Oh I see! That makes sense because my first scan it was 5mm so they upped my oestrogen and I went back 5 days later and it was 6.5mm. They booked me in for the transfer a week later which meant 2 days with oestrogen alone before the progesterone started so I was a bit confused as to how it could have only gone up 0.1mm in a week!!!

Thanks for letting me know 👍🏽

I haven’t had success yet but my lining is always less than 7mm and they say it doesn’t really matter as long as it’s trilaminar in appearance.

My lining was 6.5 when i got pregnant on my third FET Although this time i was told i had to be 8mm so my meds where doubled, different clinics must have different guide lines but my transfer was sucsessful at 6.5 Last year xxx
