Round 2 medication totally different. Norethisterone. Meriofert & fostimon. 10000 gonasi

Had my appointment with the nurse following a failed IVF cycle, three eggs collected (Two fertilised) producing no day 6 Blastos. The whole time only 2/3 folicles ovaries respondeded with one getting significantly bigger - after egg collection was told I had a cyst. Cysts not uncommon for me. Was this cyst a follicle all along ? Who knows ?! I was also told my progesterone would be too high for fresh transfer ? (Didn’t matter in the end anyway)

I suspected but I know for certain my last medication was started too late now (day 4 of bleed after stoping Progynova) This meant also Frymadel was started too late (i STARTED day 9 and nurse confirmed day 6?!?) I am on different meds now and also max dose of Gonasi.

I feel much more confident in this cycle and am hoping for a better result. - just so confused as to how they could get it so wrong?!

I will have a baseline scan 10 October

I will also have a scan first day of my period

I will start taking Nothisterone 5g twice daily on day 18

Merifert 75 +Fostimon 225

Fymadel

Gonasi 10,000

I refuse to believe I am a poor responder !

Upped coq10 and other vits

ooh similar to me! I’ve just started norethisterone and am now down regging with Buserelin, will start Meriofort in a couple of weeks. Brand new protocol for me too so hope for better results. I feel like the clinic got my last cycle wrong too! Good luck to you! Xx

Hiya! Sorry I didn’t see your last message! How are you? Sorry to hear you’re delayed! I had collection Monday, I got 18 eggs and have 10 x day 4 morulas - just waiting to hear tomorrow if any have made blast 🥲 im so so anxious, especially after 2 failed rounds before this. But I’m just praying 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Hiya, I actually can’t remember 🫣 I’ll need to look back through my papers but I think my AMH was 10.8 when I last had it checked. AFC I think was 14 🤔 but I have endometriosis and an Endometrioma.

Oh bless you. I have mild endo but it took so long to get to a diagnosis stage that I never had one because i had just started fertility treatment. Best of luck for tomorrow and the rest ❤️

down reg is down regulation - basically switching off your ovaries before starting stims. It’s helped me get higher numbers. X

You’re not on high dose of stims. Max would be 225iu meriofert and 225iu fostimon. Ubiquinol is better than CoQ10 as it’s in its converted form already. You can take 200mg ubiquinol x3 times a day.

Thank you 😊 this protocol is similar to what you mentioned before though isn’t it ? I guess they went in softly before. Would you think the stims should be higher then ? I do have 300 mg ubiquinol - taking that in the morning and evening x

You are on a milder dose of stims. You could ask for stims to be increased. If they are saying you are a poor responder, they are not being fair. When I was on 225iu meriofert and 225iu fostimon I responded better. I think stims should be higher; 450iu total is the maximum. I read that with ubiquinol it’s better to take 200mg x3 times a day so for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vitamin D is also important. In the end, I was taking 1000iu 3 times a day and my levels got to a good level with Pregnacare as well. I obviously reduced just before a transfer.

Poor responder - but poor egg quality due to age?! The last cycle was not a fair test at all though as I started everything too late !!!! I know what happened now. I came on my period early and the nurse said to start the progynova early but I don’t think everythjng else was brought forward ?! Which meant i started Meriofert too late. Massive massive mess up

One disappointing cycle of ICSI behind me (three eggs retrieved, two fertilised but only two fertilised and only survived until day 5) - full protocol bellow if interested.

Baseline scan and bloods taken day 11 on 28 July

8 follicles, FSH - 26 and AMH - 1.8

I am due to go for a scan on First day of period. The nurse has asked if specialists would want me to start injections earlier than planned and skip the pretreatment. Just hoping for some words of wisdom, shared experiences, advice please.

Dr has called today and talked through the plan:

Last AMH: 2.2 and FSH: 8.9 and 8 follicles

He has added suprecur trigger 2ml with the Gonsai and given me the option of adding clomid into the mix - he said I should research and let him know - he said the downside can be thinning uterus lining for fresh transfer. (Last time I was told on egg collection that progesterone was too high for fresh transfer)

Nothisterone 5g twice daily on day 18

Meriofert 75 +Fostimon 225

Fymadel 0.25

Gonasi 10,000 + Suprecure

same protocol with 150 clomid +Meriofert 75 +Fostimon 225

I would appreciate any thoughts.
