I had a frozen embryo transfer 5 days ago (last Weds). It was a 5 day blastocyst and it's a completely natural cycle (no trigger shot, no meds). The clinic said to test 11 days later and 1 days after missed period, on Sunday 3rd Sept.
Tbh, I just can't wait that long! Plus on the Monday I have a huge work thing and if it's a BFN, I think I'm gonna need more than a day to get myself together to face work.
I know the clinic just wants me to get an accurate result, but could I realistically test earlier?

I tested from about 3 days 😂 I do not recommend. My first showed a bfp but then I had to watch it fade as we had a chemical, second time was a bfn… so was gutted, days later it was a bfp, my third was a bfp but then I saw it fade (dodgy test) so was in bits until test day. My advice, stay away for at least 7-10 days if you can’t wait for test day x
I think whilst there are good reasons for the clinic advising to wait, it's up to you. Last frozen round, I caved after 7 days, telling myself I'd take results with a pinch of salt. There was a faint positive there, which had grown much darker by my OTD. If you don't get a positive after 7 days though, that's not to say you won't if you wait longer.
mines is always accurate by 8 days. I prefer to test early as it can prepare you for the likely outcome but still have a little bit of hope that it could turn around by test day. I have had a few chemicals though that show on day 7 but are fainter by test day, for me that also helps as I know it’s not progressing as I’ve tested earlier (and let’s me know implantation did begin when thinking about what’s next) but just a wee warning that even if it’s positive you do have to wait until test day to confirm and contact the clinic etc. best of luck to you!! Not long now until you know ☺️ xx
My first two FET rounds I didn’t test for army and drove myself crazy waiting and then when I found out they were both negative I really regretted not testing sooner. So this time round I vowed to test sooner and I tested on 7dp5dt as I knew if it wasn’t showing positive by then it would have worked and I also would rather know if I had even had a chemical. Luckily it was a positive on clear blue digital and normal and stayed so.
I was so glad I had tested earlier this time. But I know everyone is different. If you are prepared to see the possibility of a chemical happen then go for it. But you could see that happen even if you wait till test day sadly.
Whatever you choose I’m wishing you loads of luck! Xx
Thanks for the reply Wishinandahopin and huge congratulations on your pregnancy 🥳 so lovely to read of this all actually working I think I’m like you and would rather know earlier. I’m a bit confused about counting the days - does transfer day count as day 1? I had the transfer last Weds, so is this Weds day 7 or is Thursday day 7?
Aww thank you - I’m 12 weeks now so hoping everything continues on smoothly. Transfer day is day 0 so if your transfer was on Wednesday then the following Wednesday will be day 7 post transfer.
Hey! I tested from day 4 and got the squinting squinter of a positive both times with FMU and a first response. Sadly our first attempt resulted in a chemical but I feel for me testing early prepared me for that, I would've been 10x more anxious not knowing! Best of luck all fingers crossed ❤️ x
