I’m hoping to get some advice and possibly reassurance as I am close to freaking out.
Two days ago I had a pregnancy confirmed by blood test, after third frozen transfer (two previous ones were BFN’s). Last night I felt a pang of pain on right hand side low abdomen and it really scared me, I am now worried about possibility of ectopic pregnancy. This morning every now and then I feel pang of pain in the same place. I am not sure what to do… I have a scan booked for Wednesday 30th August and I am currently 5+2 pregnant.

congratulations on your positive test 💗 I had similar pains at 6 weeks of pregnancy and was worried and moved my scan forward to the next day. I went private so it was easy to change the date. Everything was absolutely fine, I am currently 7 weeks. If you are worried do you have an option to have your scan sooner ?
Hi! Congratulations on your positive result, I'm 5 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I have my scan on Tuesday the 29th of August, I'm also feeling similar types of mild pains and discomfort sometimes it even hurts because it feels like something is pinching me on and off, apparently it's just the uterus stretching getting ready for the baby
If you're scared of an ectopic, go to A&E and get scanned, by 5+3 the sac should be visible. Mine did not show at 5+4 when my beta levels were over 5500, and I went for emergency surgery.
I had the worst pain very early also, was convinced I was miscarrying again or ectopic. Booked in for an early scan and all was well. I’m now 28 wks 🥰 as long as no bleeding, I’m sure it’s just normal growing pains but contact the clinic if you’re worried. Good luck to you 🍀
Thank you all for replying, much appreciated! I contacted the nurses yesterday and they invited me for the scan on the same day. Thankfully she found the sack in the middle of the womb where it’s supposed to be. I had a double transfer so the consultant spent some time on checking both ovaries and tubes for possible sack from the second embryo but she didn’t see anything to worry about. She asked me to come back again on Friday for another check up as there was one surprise- the sack in the middle of the womb appeared to have two yolks in suggesting twin pregnancy! As it was only 5w+2, it is so so early still so they want to keep reviewing. Honestly the possibility of multiple pregnancy is terrifying to me due to all possible complications and risks… and I shall add that I am an identical twin myself!
That's so good to hear that everything is good, I think I might be pregnant to twins as well because I also had double embryo transfer and my stomach is growing so fast that it's crazy and I have pretty full on symptoms some days easier then others but I will find out for sure next Tuesday on the 29th, if I find out it's twins I will be nervous about the complications but also excited as I strangely feel very strongly that it will be a boy and a girl but I guess time will tell
That would be amazing 😀 I also had double transfer but only one implanted and seems like it split in two. To be honest I don’t really believe it could be twins, somehow I don’t feel it in my heart, but we will see! I have a scan on Friday and then on 30th to look for pulse. It’s all so stressful isn’t it!
Yes it's very stressful, I can't wait for my scan next week, I'm going to try to get one earlier, I have a strong feeling that both implanted for me I can't wait to find out
Hi! I had my scan today and I'm 7 weeks and 1 day pregnant with one baby measuring 10.7mm and heartbeat is 130bpm it's looking really good I'm so happy, that's not good that you have high blood pressure hopefully everything will be ok tomorrow on your scan, please keep me updated
