On and off sharp right sided pain

Anyone else had this?

I am ‘technically’ 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow after fresh 5DT A few weeks ago and since a week and a half ago i have been getting incredible sharp pain in my lower right side on and off.

Ive started to notice a bit of a pattern with this, it comes approx every other day and lasts 12-16hours. I’m on max dose co-codamol and it just about knocks off the edge of the pain, it is still horrendous 😫

I have been admitted to hospital with this twice. Scanned both times. Too early to show location of pregnancy but did show a burst cyst on right side with free fluid. My ovaries are also huge from OHSS, I have no other OHSS symptoms.

I’m in agony and cant move out of bed while i get this awful pain 😫 i have no bleeding but im on lots of progesterone (3 pessaries and 1 lubion injection daily)

Surely this cant be normal? Could it be ectopic? Nothing clinic / hospital can do until pregnancy can be detected on scan so im just stuck in this pain until then 😭 please help.

I would call the clinic and keep pestering to have a scan as soon as visibility is available. I don’t mean to scare you but this is how my ectopic started. I was in so much pain. I waited until I was 6.5 weeks and I ended up losing my tube as well as baby. Keep pushing. It might not be the case but just be safe xxxx

I very much believe it is ectopic .. i know its not normal to be in this much pain.

I have an appointment at the clinic tomorrow where i will push for another scan. Its making me so miserable 😭

That’s what I said to my partner at the time. My partner tried to convince me everything was okay but I knew different. Is your pain around you hip bone area just to the side of it xxx

Yes, exactly there 😔 it only eases off slightly when im lying on my sides, if im standing im in so much pain. Can’t even bring myself to get up and have a shower or brush my teeth the pain is too much. Ive vomitted too when its been really bad. Just want to get it sorted asap xx

That’s what I was like. I passed out in the end in a and e. Even when the emergency services came they thought I was over exaggerating. Is it going into your shoulder and your back.xxx

Not to my shoulder no but in my back yes.. but i am still so early in pregnancy that the embryo is really small.

Did it take you long to recover from after your surgery? xx

Hi Faith103 . I read your comment and could sympathize with the exact description of the pain you described. I am now 3dp5dt and feeling this. I am so scared. 5 months ago I had the exact pain (with a 3dt) and it ended up ectopic, loosing my embryo and my right tube. Did you had another pregnancy since then? I am so frustrated and sad

They told me my embryo was quite big but I would say my symptoms got really bad when I was about 6 weeks. I had spotting and then blood. Unfortunately I got rushed to surgery and my tube had burst and I had a pint blood leaking into my cavity. They couldn’t save my tube. After surgery I recovered quick physically but mentally was hard as we had to collect babies ashes.just make sure you keep pushing xxxx ectopics can be so dangerous that’s if it is that

They should be testing your HCG levels hun. With an ectopic they will be static. Also speak to your local EPU, stress the amount of pain you’re in & make sure they know it’s one sided.

Had a blood test today and a scan that shows pregnancy sack in the uterus not the tube! They think its severe OHSS and should be over the worst by next week. Hopefully i can hold out til then 😫🤞🏼 x

can you please say if you felt that very same pain and how were you doing? I am 3 dp5dt and feel same, after 5 months ago I felt same and ended with ectopic and loosing burst tube 🙁
