high oestrogen before EC - advice

My egg collection is tomorrow. Clinic did my bloods yesterday and said it was high at 19,400 so they gave me a different trigger injection. The appointment was really rushed and there was no chance to ask any questions so hoping some peeps on here can help…

Is this level super high? Should I be preparing for freeze all if I’m lucky enough to get any embryos?

Hiya, I had high oestrogen, although I think it was under 10k? Can't fully remember. I had to freeze all as my lining went a bit wonky with it too.

Have a good chat with your consultant and I'm sure they will explain everything. I was disappointed but wanted the embryos transferred into the best possible environment. Took a while for my oestrogen to come down and quite a lot of down reg for the FET, but that's a problem particular to me I think as it happened even when I wasn't stimming and just prepping for a later FET.

hey. That does seem quite high, hopefully it just means you’ll have lots of lovely eggs during collection. I had a high level (about 10000, so not quite as high as yours) and had 22 eggs collected and a freeze all cycle. I think the other trigger does something wierd to your lining.

I remember it being really frustrating at the time but actually, in the grand scheme of things, it was only a couple of months more of a wait and it was successful. I think there’s some evidence out there which says that frozen transfers are more successful…so try to focus on that.

hey it does sound like they might have already swapped you out for the trigger that is for a freeze all so I would give them a call and ask as they absolutely should have explained that to you better 🤔 good luck for egg collection sounds like you are responding well 🤗💜 xx
