Since egg collection on Thursday I've had really uncomfortable bloating and constipation which is getting worse.
I've tried everything - fibrogel, drinking plenty of water, prunes, apricots. What can I do? It's so uncomfortable, I'm finding it hard to move about. I had 15 eggs collected and have been put on cabergoline tablets to ward off OHSS.
Also, sorry this is TMI, but I'm having to do the cyclogest pessaries up the back way as I always find tampons etc really painful - think because of endometriosis and retroverted uterus, so doctor suggested that back way would be better. But I don't think this is helping me in terms of being so blocked up?
Does anyone have any advice that might help? I'm really fed up and starting to go out of my mind! Also want to be much better for ET on Tuesday. Right now I'm so bloated I can hardly move out of bed.
Thanks ladies x

I know you say you’ve tried prunes but try prune juice - more effective, just don’t drink too much. Try a glass and wait a while....I speak from experience!! Hope it helps xxx
Coconut water might help the bloating (and to flush out the drugs to help with the potential OHSS). I take flaxseed (tablespoon in water or milk overnight) to help BMs. Psyllium husks and magnesium also good. Hope you feel better soon lovely. xx
I was also very bloated and uncomfortable just after egg collection. They advised me to drink lots of water to flush meds out of my system. It was hard and uncomfortable.
I suggest having peppermint tea in addition to lots of water.
I also had the pessaries up the back passage. A bit mucky but apparently, it's the best way to take it.
I found prune juice was the only thing that helped but also drink even more water, 3 litres a day and although it is uncomfortable to move go for a gentle walk and if possible get a back massage as this can help. Hope you feel better but speak to the clinic if it doesn’t ease soon xx
I tried orange juice because the thought of prune juice was just too 🤢
Worked a treat!! Try sitting on the loo with your feet up on a couple of loo rolls too, apparently the way we sit on the loo isn't correct and won't help things get moving. I found this helped me a lot.
The things we talk about on here!! Hope it helps xx
Maybe try the pessaries front way for a while if that's ok with the type of pessary you are on. I'm also retroverted and don't get on well with tampax but the pessaries are much smaller.
