BFP on cycle day 17

feeling confused ,

Just tested positive for pregnant on Cycle day 17, since yesterday have had brown discharge and light pink spotting on wiping ( was heavier this morning) seems to have slowed down now.

my last period was 14th May and was a proper period On 29 day cycle that month( I have irregular cycles due to PCOS) usually between 35-40 days.

I’ve had 3 miscarriages , so scared it’s another loss.

I’ve got progesterone pessary ready to take as all my miscarriage were due to low progesterone, but EPAU have said don’t take Pessary until I have my scan at 10 tomorrow. They want to rule out ectopic.

Had 4 positive faint tests including a clear blue digital that says 1-2 weeks.

Nurse has said it’s either an ectopic or very early !!!

Could I have ovulated really early this cycle? I’ve started taking Metformin around cycle day 7 or 8 this month for insulin resistance.

Will they even see anything on ultrasound this early !?

Any thoughts?

Hi I hope all goes well at your appointment today. If you had your period on May 14th you would only be just under 3 weeks pregnant today which is 1-2 weeks on a clear blue indicator (you add on 2 weeks to those) ie you ovulated a week ago and it’s a very very early BFP. That would be extremely early to see something on a scan. The other thing they might be looking at is whether the period was actually pregnancy related bleeding which is maybe where the eptopic is coming in so the scan will be useful for that. Hopefully they will also do some bloods as that should tell you your HCG and repeating those might be the most helpful thing if you are really early. Thinking of you xx

I had my scan, Nothing could be seen as she said it’s too early, just a thickened womb lining of 6.5mm and she said this is either getting ready for a period or an early pregnancy.

I’ve had bloods and she’s not long called me

HCG : 96

Progesterone : less than 1 😔😔😔

She said I’m definitely pregnant but very doubtful that I’ll be able to sustain the pregnancy, I started cyclogest progesterone today as per my gyane consultant as I’ve got recurrent miscarriage history. Pregnancy nurse said I can carry on with these and I ‘May’ be able to save it if it’s very early but not getting my hopes up as that’s such a low progesterone. This is my 4th loss due to low progesterone. I somehow don’t think this is going to turn around , I’m spotting light pink blood but haven’t had a heavy bleed yet. X

Goodness me that must be worrying for you , defo sounds like you need some progesterone support and I hope it’s early enough to turn it around as it does seem like you are really early! Thinking of you xx

thank you so much, feeling pretty deflated! But maybe there is a glimmer of hope, will see how I get on. I’ve got to go back on Friday to see if my HCG has gone up x

Update:

So this is very odd!

My HCG has doubled and gone up to 198 from 96.

So it’s doubled in 48 hours.

Confused and not sure what to think, they’re surprised too as my progesterone was only 1

Not holding out much hope!

But not sure if this is a glimmer of hope !

I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. The same happened to me and it was an ectopic. I hope it's not the case for you x.

everything crossed for you today. I bled quite a lot early on in my first trimester. On the scan it showed a small haematoma so not all bleeding means the worst. It would always start brown and then be red and stop after a day. Good luck - massive hugs xx
