Anyone get false BFP ?

Hi everyone, I’m 7DP5DT and I’ve had a positive pregnancy test yesterday evening (clear blue 6 day early) and just now (first response 6 day early). My period is due tomorrow and my OTD isn’t till Friday. Feel I can’t trust the results as I’ve tested early and I’m going to keep testing every day now until Friday as I’ve read that with IVF the body may release the hormone that the pregnancy test picks up through the ivf drugs and also my body could have started to release the hormone in response to receiving the embryo but that doesn’t mean it’s implanted.

Just curious if anyone has tested positive on or around day 7 post transfer but it was a false positive?

False positives are rare! IVF pregnancies are no different although if you've had a trigger shot then this can sometimes give a false positive but I would have thought that would be fine now if you did. The only caution is that sometimes you can get a chemical (which is when you get a slight positive that disappears) and I dont want to be a Debbie downer and make you more worried.😬 Hopefully your tests just get stronger....quiet congrats!!🤞🏻xxx

Hey Cinderella not a Debbie Downer at all, that my concern the chemical pregnancy. Guess I just have to test again tomorrow and the next day and keep hoping the line gets stronger xx

If you can then hold out for testing every 2 days as the levels double every 48-72hrs . You may not see too much after just one day....easier said than done, been there too!😬🤣🙈 Lots of luck.🤞🏻xxx

As Cinderella5 says unless you’ve had a trigger there is nothing in ivf that produces HCG except pregnancy. Was this a fresh transfer?Xx

Hey millbanks, yes it was a fresh transfer and I did have a trigger shot 2 weeks ago today xx

You're pregnant, congratulations! It's normal to feel anxious. I tested 6dpt3dt which is super early for a 3dt and I really didn't believe the positive til the beta. I think if you've had a long road to get pregnant it takes a longggg time to sink in and you totally second guess the bfp x

Really? I just can’t believe it. I’ve tried for 2 years and this is my first cycle and know so many ladies aren’t success at first cycle I really can’t believe I actually could be xx I’ve felt nothing looking at the test, numb xx

I was napping yesterday during the day which isn’t like me and boobs seem particularly firm and big and I am quite tearful but but these down to progesterone x.

Hey I think congrats! But I remember seeing that you should wait until day 8/9 to make sure the HCG is out of your system. But at least hopefully now you get to test and see a dark line each day. Good that you’re being cautious I totally understand why. X

I was naughty and tested on day 4 with my first IVF go and on day 5 with my second go. Both showed a positive. I now have two beautiful boys from both of those rounds. Congratulations and I hope it keeps going in the right direction for you xx

Thank you however I’m not convinced I’m pregnant as I’ve tested today and the line is even fainter than yesterday I think I may have had false positives from the trigger shot x
