BFP now bleeding help!

Can anyone help Saturday I had some bleeding my clinic told me to start cyclogest again since then I have had light brown spotting then again today I have had some red blood no clots or anything I'm jus freaking out I'm onli 3-4 weeks is it to early for an early pregnancy unit? Can I call th docs? my scan is the 13th June I just want to know if all ok my clinic has jus said to continue the cyclogest I am fearing the worst at this point when you think it's goin well this happens

hi lovely can you phone your clinic and ask if they can do some bloods for you to see what’s going on, that would probably be the most helpful thing at this stage and sometimes the clinics need ‘nudged’ into doing these if they aren’t standard (I know mine it depends which nurse whether it’s easy to get or not). There’s not really anything they can do to change the outcome but at least it helps you know what’s happening a little! Ps I had lots of bleeding with my little boy in the early weeks so it doesn’t always mean the worst 💕 thinking of you xx

So sad to hear this, but it is really common. I’ve had this before, which didn’t end well but lots of other ladies have gone on to have healthy pregnancies. I think 3-4 weeks would be too early to see anything on a scan but definitely contact your clinic. Like Twiglet says a blood test a couple of days apart can show if HCG number is rising, it’s such a horrible scary thing though and I would be feeling exactly the same as you are. Definitely continue your medication until you know for definite where you stand. Sending lots of love. Xx

From my experience at 6 weeks they can see what’s going on. It’s so hard though, so don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s such a stressful time. Take care of yourself. Sending positive vibes. Xx

Hi! Call your clinic and they may be able to bring your scan forward to about 6 weeks. I had a large bleed at 6 weeks and it turned out to be a large subchorionic hematoma, which apparently is quite common for IVF pregnancies and even more so if you are also taking baby aspirin. I was told to stop that immediately and the hematoma was gone by the 12w scan. Good luck!

I had this, in fact I had the brown spotting until about 12 weeks, when I stopped cyclogest, also with my second baby too. Both boys born happy and healthy. My cousin has big bleeds and has her little boy also. Each case is so subjective. Epu won’t see you and there isn’t anything much anyone or you can do apart from ride it out. Either way you don’t have any control (yet again!) over anything either way. Just know that pregnancy does all sorts to your body and it has a good clean out (as one side nurse once told me) and that cyclogest can be a sod irritating you, and that it can all be ok.

You’d think the anxiety would end with the bfp wouldn’t you, but nope, opens up a whole new ball game! You’ve got this far, you can get though what’s to come too ❤️

I know it’s a lot easier said that done. Even after I had my first, I used to check every time I went to the toilet. This ivf business is no joke is it, I think outsiders would be shocked how much it can mess you up. But we are so much stronger in many ways for it and are truly blessed when we have our babes 💙 keep us updated, and have faith 😘❤️

It's such a rollercoaster isn't it the sad thing is I was so happy this time last week I thought I was the luckiest person but today I feel like it's crashing and the unluckiest I jus don't know how to keep it together untill at least next week thank u for messaging me ❤️

Hi Rookery,

Just catching up and saw your post - keen to hear how you are getting on? Did you have a scan yet? I’m in a similar boat as I’m five and a half weeks and started bleeding last night and it’s been on and off since but had one big red stringy bleed today… so I’m pretty certain I’ve lost it but will call the dr on Monday to see if I can have blood tests as my scan not until 20th June and I can’t wait that long to confirm what I think I know is true but there’s still a tiny bit of hope I’m clinging on to.

Thinking of you and everyone else on this rollercoaster journey!

Hi hope Ur doin ok sorry to hear but hopefully all ok and will stop. It's such a journey have u been thru this before? This was all new to me and it's overwhelming so I started to bleed 27th may restarted pesseries went away cuz it was proper blood not jus a lil bit so by Tues it came bk heavy when I wiped then started seeing tissue and I knew from that point the epu wudnt see me till 6 weeks my clinic sed it was early and didn't offer the blood tests she asked me to a test this is a week later and by this point I already knew and it was negative I was heartbroken this is 1st go I onli had 1 embreyo and now I'm coming to terms with it trying to think of the positives that I got as far as I did the thought of doing it again is hard but going to have a couple months off I realli hope Ur bloods go ok and keeping everything crossed please keep me posted I'm here if u want a chat. Xx
