Sensitive- Questions about early loss/MC

Hello

Unfortunately my HCG tests confirm that I'm having a MC (at 5.5 weeks) 😪

Last time I had a mc, I found out at my 7 week scan. The sac was empty and I was given misoprostol by EPU to move things along. This was the most horrendous experience of my life, I was in so much pain, having contractions, lots of blood, passing tissue, clots etc.

This time I want to let things happen naturally. I've been bleeding on and off for about a week (similar to a period). No pain.

I stopped estrogen and progesterone yesterday and was expecting the mc to happen similar to last time, however the bleeding seems to have tapered off now. Does anyone know what happens now?

Presumably there will be more bleeding and pain? Or is that it on the physical side? Not sure if it's different because it's an earlier stage, or just because I'm not taking misoprostol, or if the worst is yet to come?

I’m so sorry for your losses. When I miscarried at a similar stage it was literally just a period and no real cramps - so this could be all you have.

With medical management the drugs induce cramps to get things moving - with natural MC at this stage this doesn’t always happen and you can just bleed

Thinking of you x

I’m so sorry for what you are going through. But when I had a miscarriage at a similar early stage (5 weeks, I think) it was pretty much like a normal period. Maybe a bit heavier than normal, but not significantly…. So hopefully this will be it for you.

Sending you strength x

Sorry to hear this Cahoots my heart goes out to you, I miscarried at 6 weeks and it was just a heavier period with normal period pain at the beginning but nothing significant just the usual aching. Thinking of you xxxx

Firstly I am so sorry for your loss, similar situation to me. It’s heartbreaking so go easy on yourself. I bled naturally for 12 days clots and like a heavy period . It stopped then 8 days later I had another short bleed, which I thought was my period but my scan showed it wasn’t. It then took including day 1 of my first MC bleed 8 weeks! To have my period, I was testing a lot which all showed negative as we did have unprotected sex after the 12 day bleed. I thought maybe miracles may happen but AF came 😞

So sorry for your losses 😞 I think we went through FET at the same time - I had a chemical/ very early miscarriage from my FET, it was just like a normal period for me although I did feel abit light headed and more headachey than usual x x thinking of you

Yes, I totally get that. It is heartbreaking 💔 I have anxiety too, especially at night when I stop. Just trying to keep myself active and meet up with friends so I don't feel so alone. You will feel better in time. I spoke to a counsellor last time and that really helped x
