*sensitive* MC at six weeks

Hi all, thank you to those who answered my last post about blood & spotting I find this community one of the only sources of comfort at times like these. After many hours in A&E we sadly had our miscarriage confirmed, the gestational sac had separated from the uterus and the embryo was therefore measuring behind. We are now looking for nature to do its part. Has anyone else on here let it happen naturally? Anything I should expect and any tips for survival? After six years of TTC and with this being our first bfp we are quite devastated. Any hope stories after a similar type of miscarriage? Any success stories after fibroids and male factor? Thank you XX

Hi, so sorry to hear about your loss :( I’ve had two miscarriages too...one early on and the second at 10 weeks, we too waited for nature to take its course...only thing I can say to expect is a lot of cramping and heavy bleeding....I completely understand how devastating this all is :( Unfortunately after 6 years we too are still waiting for a positive outcome.

Thinking of you...xxx

I’m so so sorry. That’s such sad news. I know it won’t be much comfort now but at least you can be reassured that you did and can get a BFP. I hope you and your OH are looking after each other. Take some time out if you can and enjoy the things you haven’t been able to. Sending lots of love xxx

Thank you! We are currently trying to take it easy, some sleep would help but sadly it's very elusive. Thank you for your kind words x

I really feel for you. I would get a few diazepams or something to knock you out for a bit... and a glass of wine. Xxx

I'm so sorry for your loss!! I had a spontaneous loss at 6 wks and it was a bit like a period, with heavy cramping and passing clots.....sorry if tmi. Heat helps the cramps and you can take pain killers if necessary. Hugs at this difficult time.xx

Thank you for taking the time to reply! Yes I have strangely stopped bleeding so just nervously waiting for it to start again. Also sorry for your loss, it can be a long and tiring journey can't it? X

Thank you! It is an extremely tiring and tough journey indeed. The bleeding may not be too bad, I guess everyone is different in these times. I do hope you dont suffer too much but if it is scary dont hesitate to contact the hospital again. Hold onto each other tight!!xx

I’m so very sorry for your loss 😢

I had a similar situation. Our reason for infertility was my endometriosis which took 5 years & 10 months of TTC to diagnose. We conceived for the first time in 6 years & were over the moon. Unfortunately it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy we were heartbroken. It took another 13 months (2 more surgeries for my endo )following the loss to conceive our 14 month old daughter who I also spotted through between 6-14 weeks. My fertility doctor told us just because we’d lost that pregnancy didn’t mean the next one wouldn’t work out- said we were just very unlucky. It did prove to us that we could conceive which gave us some confidence that we could do it.

I hope you have lots of support & each day will get a bit easier xxx

Thank you for taking the time to respond, and yes this does give me some hope. It's such a long journey isn't it? I just feel so tired. I am sorry to hear about your loss, it must have been tough but great news about your daughter.

So sorry for your loss, we went through the same thing in June at 9 weeks.

Once I started bleeding it gradually got heavy with quite bad cramps, so make sure you have some paracetamol and a hot water bottle handy.

Once I passed the pregnancy the pain went away. We were able to keep the remains and we got a lovely pot and rose bush which we buried it in.

It’s such and awful thing to go through, and like you we’ve been trying for nearly 6 years! we’ve also had 4 failed transfers and we couldn’t believe our luck when we got our first bfp but we’re just trying to be hopeful it can happen again! Hope everything goes ok for you and if you need to chat just drop me a message. Xx
