Thrush and FET

Hey all,

I think I have thrush and my FET is on Thursday. Have any of you had the same problem before and know if it’s ok to take the pessary for it ? X

hello,

I was in a similar position before my last FET. I spoke to my doctor who told me not to take the oral tablets but I could take 1 x pessary for 3 days to clear it up. But if it was my clear they would still be able to go ahead with the FET. When looking at this all on Google I found a study that said taking a pessary before FET actually helped implantation but who knows! 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’d speak to your clinic if you can but just wanted to let you know it shouldn’t be a reason to panic.

you’ll be absolutely fine with a pessary. Funnily enough I had a bfp on two transfers when I used pessaries prior 😊 xx

Hi Anoncasper. Might be an idea to treat it systemically, which means three days of tablets to travel through the system, then some cream around the lady parts if itchy. Hope it soon goes and good luck with the FET. Diane

Hi I have the same issue now, were you allowed to take the oral tablet? I’ve been taking the probiotic vaginal pessaries for 4 days but it’s still there. What did your doctor advise? Thanks x
