Endometriosis & Adenomyosis / Prostap

Hello All,

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here and hope lots of success & healthy babies have been born.

Our journey continues… over 5 years later, 6 x IUI, 4 egg collections (3 x me / 1 x wife) 9 transfers (fresh / frozen with various protocols) with 15 embryos transferred, 2 pregnancies ( 1 cervical ectopic / 1 early miscarriage in Sept)… no baby yet.  Tested for NKC & receptivity all normal.

Following miscarriage in Sept I requested an MRI with my doctor, self diagnosing Endometriosis & Adenomyosis to which is appears I have (despite not having regular symptoms).

Since my fertility clinic has recommended a protocol of 3 x months of Prostap then a FET (with my wife’s eggs) and the possibility of introducing steroids (have used this on previous cycle).

On a waiting list for laparoscopy with hospital but this wait could be long. Currently receiving treatment from Chinese Dr to help Endo/Ando, as well as continuing reflexology.

Is there anyone who also has Endo & Ando and what did your clinic suggest for the best protocol? Any experience with Prostap and the side effects? Any success stories with this protocol?

Any other comments welcome.

Thank you in advance I appreciate your time  & help with this. 🙂

Hi Amelia. Sorry to hear all this. Pros tap can sometimes be effective in shrinking the adenomyosis, but can give you menopausal symptoms until you bleed again. Make sure your surgeon is competent in treating adenomyosis as it is a complex condition. Good luck. Diane

Hello Diane, thank you for your response and advice that is very much appreciated. My consultant at our fertility clinic is the only professional to recommend a protocol at this stage. I am desperately trying to speak with the consultant I have been referred to at the hospital, as they specialise in this, but seems an impossibility and I am not sure how long this wait will be. There is no one else you could suggest a second opinion from is there? I have both my MRI report and scans. Thanks again 🙂

Hi. You’ve obviously tried his/her secretary? I’m afraid I cannot recommend medics as it is seen as advertising, but someone could PM/DM you with someone. Fingers crossed. Diane
