Im almost certain i miscarried yesterday (5weeks) beyond devastated. I obviously wont be able to speak to the clinic until tomorrow. Does anyone know how long you have to wait before another FET? Thank you x

Next steps after miscarriage
Hi hun, I’m so sorry to read this. I hope you can speak to someone tomorrow and understand what is going on. It’s just heartbreaking 💔
I have been told I have to have one normal period cycle before another FET.
Sending hugs 💕xxxx
Hi,
I can only share my experience. In my case it took around 2 months for your period to come. They took the placenta for some tests, and in my case they didn't find any genetic problems. After that they recomended to wait a couple of months to let the uterus rest.
But this was just my experience, and your situation might have been different than mine.
I can only say that if you need to vent and share your feelings this is a great place, I can only tell you that it is a difficult time, very heartbrreaking, cry when you feel like, and try to take your time with the mourning.
Please take care of yourself.

Hi, i'm so so so sorry to read this. I had a d&c to get it removed immediately and it took about 6 weeks after that to get my period. I didn't do another transfer tho with that period, i did egg retrieval. I think if it was an FET, my consultant would have made me wait one more period after my first since miscarriage .all the best xx
I'm really sorry if it's confirmed. You may need time to process and recover but the first time it happened to me my clinic was ok for me to go straight into another round and transfer, and then when that also ended they were ok for me to go straight into a FET (which was successful). I think it depends on your clinic though as my NHS one said you needed at least two natural periods in between - suspect that was due to scheduling rather than medical reasons. Also those losses retrospectively turned out not to have really progressed past a couple of weeks and my HCG was very low, and I had the withdrawal bleeds soon after I came off the meds. Whereas I've just had another at more like 8 weeks that needed surgery and I suspect I'll be asked to wait at least one natural period if not two to make sure everything's settled. So although hopefully it won't be the case for you, if you need to have follow-up or there are any complications then they may want you to take longer to recover. x
