Wondering if anyone has had a double trigger and got some good results? Or even experiences of not great results and reasons you wouldn’t do it again?
I’m thinking of short protocol with double trigger (had half of my eggs immature from last round) or wondering if doing a longer protocol would just be the best way- although way more expensive!
Hope your all well x

I had majority immature eggs which also didn’t grow well and were poor quality. The double trigger worked really well for us as although we still had a lot of immature eggs, we did get more that were really good quality and one is now my little boy. Best of luck - hope it works out for you.
My second round was a long protocol with single trigger shot and we ended up with all but 1 immature egg. That 1 egg didn’t fertilise.
Latest round (number 3) was short protocol with a double trigger. We had a lot of attrition between AFC and eggs retrieved but got 8 eggs, 6 fertilised and 5 made it to day 5. We spoke to our clinic about continuing stims a bit longer and to hold off the double trigger until follicles were bigger. They were happy to try this and for us, we got our best results (of 3 rounds).
However, extending the duration of stims may be why we collected fewer eggs than what was being seen in the AFC scans. We may have lost some of the bigger follicles. Either way, we were happy with the outcome.
I hope this help and GOOD LUCK with your journey 💜
Oh wow that’s amazing results! I’m feeling more confident about having some control over my plan compared to last time so hoping if I feel the need to I can do the same as you and ask for longer on stims. Definitely convinced me have a double trigger! x
