FET prep tips

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well.

Just after some general lifestyle, nutrition tips ahead of FET early next month.

I've had my nurse consult for our 1st FET and eager to do what I can to get myself physically and mentally ready for it. Our first cycle in December ended in freeze all due to OHSS, so I still feel very much a newbie to all this.

As it will be my first time transfer I'm only taking Folic Acid and Vit D and trying to keep things as natural as possible (even though it will be medicated).

Any suggestions for foods, activities, dos and don'ts would be great.

Wishing you all lots of love and luck xx

Healthy diet, good amount of exercise and try to keep the stress low. I did a few reflexology sessions in the run up to my second FET and felt really good afterwards. Good luck!

p.s. I also took probiotics - both chewable and vaginal.

Ah, thank you. My diet is generally pretty good and I'm on it with the leafy greens, wholegrains, good fats etc. I'll try adding a few probiotics too! Xx

if you are generally healthy and have no known issue, supplements are just an added bonus. I took the multi vitamin tablets like Pregnacare for conceive because it has a bit more than just folic acid, but general advice by clinic is just folic acid. Like people said all you can do at this stage is to relax while waiting. I personally take probiotics in the form of yogurt drink (like Yakult) to prepare my stomach for bloating issue, which later on before transfer it will happen this way or another. There is a myth of pineapple and pomegranate, if you like them go get them because they are really good antioxidant fruits and by knock on effects of what you have already been doing it helps with lining, embryo implantation. However if you don’t like them then don’t force yourself.
