FET prep - estrogen side effects?

Hello you lovely souls, hope you're all doing OK and enjoying the spring sunshine!

I've just started my prep for medicated FET and wanted to ask you what kinds of side effects have you experienced in estrogen, if any? I'm taking 3x2mg estrofem/ day. Any tips/ advice on how to overcome any and to look after yourself during that time are very welcome!

Hey there. I’m just prepping too. Waiting for FET on Monday. I didn’t really get any side effects from the oestrogen. Buserelin before I started the oestrogen destroyed me though. Made me emotional and made my skin really dry. A little insight into menopause!! 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Glad to hear you haven't had any side effects from the oestrogen, that's fab! Bummer about the buserelin though - luckily I've managed to get myself out of having to take it! x

Hi! I had to take estrogen (4 tabs a day of progynova) for my recent implantation tests which included ERA. I'd never taken it before as my lining was always OK and didn't seem to need it but as we used it for the tests I'll be using it again for my next real FET, starting next week. I didn't love it, TBH... not awful at all but it made me pretty emotional and I had some vertigo- type feelings on a couple of days xx

Ah bless you, sorry to hear about the symptoms! For me it's mostly bloating and a general feeling of discomfort, but there have been quite emotional situations too and I think my response might be put down to the meds, yikes! I hope your tests went OK! x

Most of the results came back normal but the ERA showed I was 24 hours pre- receptive. So hopefully changing that will make a difference 🙏 😂 xx

Hi,I get headaches from it but nothing too major. Drink lots of water, I find that really helps. Loads of luck xx
