We just had some devastating news last week when we lost the pregnancy and would like to know while there is still time on how I can prepare for FET.what can be done to improve the womb environment ,what foods, what supplements to take, do I have to completely cut out alcohol, any herbal solutions that can help.i basically just want any useful tips .what did you do for a successful FET.
I hope you are all doing ok or at least trying to be OK.😊
Sorry to hear about your loss, so sad and hard to go through.
Re lining, I have issues with thickness and on my second cycle tried vitamin E, drank pomegranate juice everyday and had accupuncture. That round my lining was 9mm!! Never had that before, didn't have the vitamin E this cycle and needed oestrogen tablets as my lining was too thin. So wasn't sure if it was the accupuncture or vitamin e that thickened it last time. Also read drinking litre of milk a day helps too. Hoping next time it works out for you xx
I second that question. I prepped a huge amount for first IVF round but can't seem to get my head around FET, at all. I've been talking about it for a year now.
For IVF 1 I made a lot of juices containing avocado, walnuts, blueberries, spinach - all healthy and anti inflammatory. I didn't avoid any food groups completely but because I have stage 4 endo, i reduced some of the food groups that aggravate endo (dairy, sugars and gluten)..
I cooked turkey mince for high protein, as I don't eat red meat.
I also tried to eat as much organic as I could.
And I took pregnancare conception, which I really need to buy now.
It worked for me first time, but now I have sibling guilt (which Id always got annoyed at but now understand)..
cut out caffeine. Good vitamins are E, B, folic acid, fish oil, fluorodix. Brazil nuts, pommegranite, loads of protein for blood flow, accupuncture, leafy veggies. Your main focus is to get your lining thick and healthy. Good luck.
Hi Lawmom. Oh you've just been through a terrible time, and obviously you will be anxious too! I think most of my ladies tend to take it easy for a few days after FET, and don’t do any lifting or strenuous exercise. Otherwise, live life as normally as you can while you are waiting to test. A good diet to have at this time consists of variety, however, I have listed some of the “good” things to have: Carbohydrates - Wholegrain bread and wholemeal pasta, oatmeal, brown rice. All fresh vegetables especially raw or steamed. Over boiling rids them of vitamins and minerals, pineapple juice, apricots, potatoes, all fruit and honey, beans, chickpeas and lentils. Protein - Organic meat if possible, poultry, fish, Milk and hard cheese, nuts and seeds. Fat - Extra virgin olive oil and sunflower oil, avocado and peanut butter, mackerel, sardines, nuts (especially Brazil and walnuts), seeds, sweet corn and sweet potatoes. The things to avoid are too much sugar, processed foods, ready meals, butter, ice cream etc. A little is OK, but not all the time. Drink plenty of water and only a little tea and coffee if feeling deprived. Cut right down or right out – alcohol and smoking. Oh and don’t forget the Folic Acid! You did ask! But seriously, I hope this helps and all the best with the FET. Diane
Sorry to butt in on this thread but I see Diane has recommended pineapple juice. Last cycle I ate pineapple core but it was horrid! Is there any truth in it helping aid implantation? If not I would swerve it this time but as I got a bfp last time I'm prepared to suck it up and eat it again, if it made any difference? xx
