FET today

Hi all, we've got our transfer later today. Second try after a failed transfer last year. We only have two euploid embryos so this might be our last shot. We've changed lots of stuff this time - I'm on levothyroxine and prednisolone and we've done intralipids and I went through several courses of antibiotics after our EMMA test was poor. Hoping all that is enough to make the difference! Please wish us luck - I'm so excited and so scared at the same time.

Keeping everything crossed for you and I really hope this time you'll get to take a baby home in your arms! I am curious to learn if you had a repeat EMMA test after your first one showed low lactobacillus levels? I am in a similar place to you with only two euploid embryos and am currently awaiting the results of my ENDO Quartet. Like you, also wanted to make sure I create optimal conditions for transfer as we only have these precious two chances. It sounds like your consultant has a lot of bases covered with steroids and thyroid medication so this transfer has the absolute best chances of being successful! I know the 2 week wait is sheer agony, stay strong and keep up the faith, you really have done all you can to give this little champion embryo the best chances. Wishing you all the best! X

Thank you. And wishing you lots of luck too. I took metronidazole after my first EMMA, then did a repeat biopsy. It hadn't improved, so we then did a course of clindamyacin. My consultant recommended not doing another biopsy, as every time you biopsy, you're potentially bringing more bacteria into the uterus and disrupting things more. Instead we did a sterile high vaginal swab with a speculum, which should a good balance of normal flora - whereas I'd had borderline BV in a few swabs before. We decided we were confident enough that this showed that the antibiotics has made enough of a difference. Time will tell! I also did ERA which showed my progesterone protocol and timings were spot on (we increased them in the ERA test from the protocol I did for the first transfer). Hope that helps and you get the results you want x
