FET # 7 today

Hi everyone,

Today was my seventh FET transfer and trying to stay positive even though the odds at this point may not be in my favor. I know I'm lucky and so grateful that I have my now 6 year old boy, but I would so very much love to give him a sibling. I had my little boy at almost 40 years old and since then, l've had three miscarriages and six failed transfers from donor eggs.

Today was transfer number 7 of a day 5 4BB untested embryo from donor eggs. I know that realistically after so many failures the likelihood of success is low, but I'm choosing to be hopeful today. After all even a low chance of success is a possibility so choosing to think im pregnant until proven otherwise. If anyone has success stories to share after several transfers I would love to hear it. Wishing all you incredibly strong women on this IVF journey success!

lots of luck to you! It took me so many transfers to conceive a sibling for our little boy that I lost count so it can happen 🤗✨💜

Thank you for taking the time to reply and sharing your story. I'm so glad to hear that while it took several transfers you had success in the end! As someone who is alternating between hope and despair- I can imagine how hard it must have been to remain hopeful and keep on moving forward with the next IVF cycle l. Do you think there was anything different for you for the last transfer that made it work? In my case my doctor thinks I have silent endometriosis (treated with Lupron depot and Letrozole after my first 5 failed transfers at another clinic) and possible immune issues. I have done both medicated and natural cycles, and this last one now is a fully medicated FET.. Hoping somehow this transfer works this time.

Fully medicated FET worked best for me too (tried the others as well) but everything else was the same except I had taken coq10 600mg in the lead up to that egg collection and I totally chilled out for the actual FET as in I forgot about all the ‘rules’ about food and drink and went to a wedding in the 2WW and then on holiday and found out it worked abroad on the beach! Which was a similar story when I had my son back in 2021 as well so I really think there is something in the mental health side of things too and being really kind to ourselves as we go through all this ✨xx

Hi. Sorry can't share what you are asking as I just had my first. FET on Wednesday so am new to this but I just wanted to say I love your comment about thinking you're pregnant until proven otherwise. I have been having positive thoughts, I guess that's easy on round one but I just love your phrase and I am definitely going to use that in my head. Wishing you all the best for your tww xx

Thank you for the well wishes! I'm also sending you positive thoughts your way and hoping you get to have a healthy uneventful pregnancy! In the meantime I'm trying to eat a lot of fresh foods (like veggies and fish which I love) and given up my coffee (not as much fun) because I read caffeine can interfere with implantation. Good luck to you!

Transfer 7 from donor was the one for me. Good luck and positive vibes!

Thanks for the well wishes! Fingers crossed this one works for me too. I'm a little worried because my progesterone was much higher at 64 Ng before FET and was reading that too high progesterone at transfer could negatively impact implantation. Sometimes it's best not to look up studies and get all stressed about conflicting results. Other studies seem to say that having lower progesterone is more of a concern. So I sent my doctor a message to ask about this and now trying to stay positive and stop looking up research that makes me anxious. I'm so glad to hear that after such a hard IVF journey you had success! It gives people like me who have had multiple failed transfers much needed hope.

Wishing you lots of luck! It took us 6 transfers to get our little boy - it can happen! xx

Thanks for your well wishes! I'll gladly accept all the luck and positive thoughts. I was wondering if your doctor checked Progesterone level before your successful transfer? Mine was 64 Ng which is extremely high and my doctor was not concerned saying anything over 20 ng/ ml is fine. However there are conflicting studies that state that over 32 Ng at time of FET negatively impact implantation so trying not to think about those studies...
