Worried about FET timing

Hi all,

I'm currently on my first FET although I have had many fresh done before which were all unsuccessful. I am on day 10 and from ultrasound the lining is 8mm. The clinic has scheduled the transfer for a week and one days time and I am really worried this is too long given that the lining is already 8mm and that I will continue to take 4 progynova daily. Any experience on this please. This is my last embryo I will probably ever produce so I am really on edge about this.

Thank you so much.

Trust your clinic -they want to ensure that the lining is a good thickness and ready for the FET. If still worried re timing call the clinic/nurse and explain your concerns

Good luck with your FET

Your lining will contract once you start progestorone. I wouldn't worry about it. 8mm is actually not very thick at all on cd 10

The doctor explained in more detail that the progesterone will be stopping the lining from growing so it's clearer now ☺️ fingers crossed this works being our 9th cycle 🀞🏻

The way they once described a medicated fet to my sister was its not your cycle anymore we have taken over it so dont worry too much where you think you would normally be , if that helps xxx

Mine was 11mm by day 10 and much thicker in places (think over 16mm) - started progesterone and had my transfer 6 days later by which time it may have got a bit thicker but all they were bothered about was that it had evened out. I liked the FET because it felt like the clinic could control the hormones and timings better than on a fresh. But your lining and the clinic's timing sounds pretty normal so fingers' crossed!
