Gearing up for second transfer...

Hello ladies!

I just started my Buserelin injections for our second round of FET. We had a first round in August - BFN with a 5AB embie. We had stimulations and freeze all in May because I developed OHSS.

We have tweaked my protocol this time a little because my progesterone was on the low side on transfer day in August (23). So will be on two cyclogest pessaries plus Crinone gel this time, as well as on baby aspirin. Haven't done any further tests or investigations because we are on NHS funding.

Any success stories from second round of FET with minor changes to protocol? Any tips on how to help it stick?

Trying to be positive but also feeling the angst already...

Apologies for jumping on to your post from many months ago.

Did you say were taking Buserelin before FET in this round? I’ve never had this offered and thought it was used when harvesting eggs, not when transferring a frozen embryo. Can you explain?

Hi! That's right, my clinic uses Buserelin in the preparation for FET as down regulation, I believe. I actually did not have it before my egg collection because I was on short protocol. I hope this helps.
