The more controlled your thyroid levels are the better it is - and hopefully your treatment will be successful.

Take care

they need to be close to 1 ideally, but under 2.5 def. You also need blood work done if you end up pregnant and usually an increase of 20% straight away. The baby relies on your hormones for the first 12 weeks. You can have complications if not medicated properly.

You need to get your levels lowers as quickly as possible. Make sure you take same time every day with a full glass of water and not with any other meds. 4 hours apart and no dairy within 4 hours otherwise can eat after an hour. Needs to be on an empty stomach, I would speak with your endocrinologist about you concerns.

You need to be waiting 4 hours after taking meds for any dairy. Calcium will stop your medication absorbing properly. It is really hard with the doctors at times. I would def go with what your embryologist said and I would also ask for an urgent referral for an endocrinologist. If you can afford it, I would get a private appointment quickly. But you need to be supported through this. I really hope you get the help you need soon x

I’m sorry you are in this situation. I really hope you get some help from your GP soon. And at least your dose has been increased. Try not to get to panicked as that won’t help you, I know that’s really hard though. This journey is so hard.

Be kind to yourself x

I have never heard of having to wait 4 hours to comsume diary after thyroid meds. Can you share any insight to support this. I do know that you should wait 4 hrs before taking any other supplements.

I saw 2x endocrinologists and neither of them told me to avoid dairy for 4 hours. Would be good to see some medical paper/evidence to support this.

I’m just relaying what I’ve been told by two professionals and also what I’ve read many other places. It’s the calcium that stops your body absorbing it properly. But I don’t have dairy anyway as find I’m better without. But I guess you can do your own research for medical papers if you wish, I was only trying to help by the information I’ve been given. I’ve had a lot of problems with my thyroid and spent a lot of money and time with professionals trying to get the best treatment and thought it would be kind to pass on what I’ve learnt. Sorry as I feel like you just want to prove me wrong on this and I’m not here for a debate. I just wanted to help someone that was asking for help. Hope you find the medical papers that you are after.

I'm not trying to prove anything just saying it would be good to see some hard evidence of the claims. Dairy is very important to everyone's diet and before we start cutting it out or otherwise it would be good to see some evidence. This doesn't of course apply to people that are diary intolerant. There seems to very so much advice out the at the moment that is not supported and all I want is to see some supportive research.

Are you taking your levothyroxine first thing in the morning at least 1-2 hours away from other meds and eating? This can help uptake significantly.

Are you taking any prednisone? This can help quickly control TSH levels, maybe your doctor will give you this? xx

I am taking levothyroxine 112.5 every morning. Now dr increased the dose to 150mg.what is this prednisone?

Do you take the levothyroxine with food? You need to take it for at least 1 hour on empty stomach.

Prednisone is a steroid. Steroids reduce TSH. Call your doctor to discuss? Good luck xx

Ok i do thanks love is it ok to take with other medications

Hi just wanted to add - are you taking estrogen meds at all with this transfer or before? If so i believe estrogen can cause high TSH. You won't see change in bloods until about 5 weeks after med change. Also check your T3 and T4 levels.

Try not to stress - i know it's hard but have been in your situation. Also as others have said avoid supplements with your medication for at least 4 hours x

Thanks love. Yes i am taking estrogen 6mg daily started like 2 weeks before the transfer and still taking it.my t4 is always remain normal.i am very worried about one thing may b u help me out.does this increased dose help me to lower the high tsh level.will it be effect the implantation? How was your experience? Any success

When you say normal - is it the upper end of the range? Increasing the levo can increase the t4 as this is what Levo is, so as long as you don't go over the range reference it's ok. I am working with my Endo to get my levels good. They do seem to be ok now, no success yet i'm afraid.
