Bad period pain on my Day 7post embryo transfer! Is it normal?!

Sorry every one but it’s me again!🙈

Today is my day 7 post embryo transfer,I couldn’t sleep at all last night! I had a bad period pain and I still have it,also I woke up feeling hot and sweaty changed my clothes back to sleep and again let say maybe after 1hour woke up felt so cold and I was shivering so bad! I had shiver on my day 5 with less pain but never been like that before,I had my last period on 5th of jan so I’m due as mine is very regular always between 25 to 28 days. Does that mean I’m having my period? Anyone experience these symptoms? Even this morning I was having my hot milk I felt shivering and mostly was in my head and my upper body, it’s so scary😥

I had bad period pains after both my transfers at 8 days and 7 days and got BFP both times so doesn’t always means AF is coming x

Around 8 days after my transfer I started to get mild cramps, similar to period pains but not as full on. I did wake up sweating the first night, never had any spotting. Since then the cramping has been on and off lasting only a few minutes each time. I have read that this is normal and that it's your uterus contracting etc. I got my BFP on Sunday 13dp5dt x

Thanks ashlou86! I had mild cramps since day1 but last night was really bad. I have all my period symptoms that’s why I’m so scared, hope it doesn’t start as I’m due. Can’t wait to do my test 🤞🏻xx

Had you taken any pregnancy tests prior to your positive that were negative?

Eat well. Drink well.

Keep busy.

Be around people if u can. Helps keep your mind off it. I know it's not easy cos we thinking it every second.

Try to relax if you can. Have a short walk to clear your head. Even though it’s a week night, head out for tea. Anything to distract yourself. Sending you lots of positive vibes xx

I didnt have IvF so apologies if this is not relevant to your query.

When i conceived i didnt know as i had been trying for years and had no success.

What i do recall is that i had period type pains, one week i was like “great here we go another week of AF is approaching” and my breasts hurt like mad (they always only hurt when i am approaching AF) so for me it was like a regular AF is coming sort of thing

It wasn’t until much later that i discovered i was pregnant (All praise to God!)

Each person is unique but I think you will find many women have had success despite that horrible af feeling!

So dont worry too much on the cramping. I am have full belief you will be successful and will pray for you xxxxxx

Oh no, the fear you get each time you have to pull down your pants to go for a wee and then wiping afterwards 🤭 I’m not at that stage yet but am dreading it!

I had strong cramps, lasting from transfer and can’t remember when they stopped but they were stronger than AF, I always used to think AF was on the way too but got BFP on that cycle. Good luck 🤞🤞 xxx

Hi Anna00. May be just your ovaries settling down. Progesterone can cause sweating, or maybe a bit of a virus? Keep drinking and take some paracetamol, and be careful not to get constipated. Take care. Diane

7dp5dt for me (day before I took a home test) I felt exactly the same. I was in a changing room all hot and flustered I felt quite dizzy I was so hot! I was convinced af was coming and it didn’t, I got a bfp next day x

Yes my cramps felt like my period was coming but it didn’t. I don’t recall shivers but the feeling hot and cramps I had same day as yours. Fingers crossed it’s good news for you! When is your test day? X

Yes I did my blood test at the clinic was on day 9 which was a Monday I took mine on the Sunday as didn’t want to find out at work! But mine was a FET so maybe that’s why it was a little earlier. I would try and hang out until the date they have given you! Not long to go xxx

Fingers crossed for u that it all a good sign☺️ I had cramps around day 8-9 past 5dt and got a positive yesterday!! I also had difficulty sleeping in my 2ww and had hot flushes last night so hopefully u will get ur bfp!! Good luck when ur OTD?? Xx
