cancelled FET

hi, my fet was cancelled today(7 days before transfer) due to a cyst in my endometrial lining. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I was prescribed antibiotics in case of infection and I’ll get rescanned at some point in my next cycle. My dr has recommended another laparoscopy & hysteroscopy as my last one was in 2017 but this isn’t an option as it would be done privately at a coat of over £9,500.

I’m so sorry to read this. I have had a cycle cancelled because of an ovarian cyst before and can appreciate it’s really tough .

well I had polyps in my womb due to the ivf drugs that I had to have removed before having ivf. I had it done on the nhs so I’m not sure why you’re not entitled? That’s very expensive too… I saw costs for a hysteroscopy of £4500 not 9k

Hi Mh. So sorry to hear this. Would it be possible just to have the hysteroscopy to check your womb out and take a biopsy. Just my thoughts. Hope the antibiotics do the trick. Good luck! Diane

No real experience here but just wanted to say how sorry I am. Can imagine the disappointment and frustration. I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and was told I have a cyst in pouch of Douglas area but no idea yet if it will affect my FET as the ultrasound was requested by gynae rather than being my clinic. I’m being scanned by clinic on Thursday next week so will have an idea by then. Sorry again to hear about your situation & hope it doesn’t delay things too much. X

thank you for taking the time to reply ladies.

Unfortunately nhs treatment wouldn’t be an option as the wait for a consultation alone is 23 weeks and upto 18months for non emergency treatment and I don’t have time on my side as I’m 40 in a couple of months.

The price is staggering but its for both procedures. The lap needs to be done alongside the hysteroscopy in case my remaining tube need’s removing. Its so frustrating because i had an ectopic pregnancy in june which resulted in my right tube being removed and the consultant at the time said my left tube was absolutely fine.
