This is my second round of IVF after 3/4 of my previous embryos ended in MC and other did not implant. My prescription has arrived with no Estrogen and the clinic confirmed that this is correct.
I am on the short (antagonist) protocol, fresh transfer would be the dream but there is a high possibility of a freeze all.
Has anyone else been in this situation. I know I should trust the clinic, but I am petrified and do not feel comfortable with the lack of estrogen, at all.
Thanks!

I am pretty sure I was never on estrogen for my fresh rounds, just stims, fyramadel to stop ovulation and cyclogest, they check your estrogen levels as part of the cycle but your body should produce enough x
Interesting, my last round I was on Estrogen but never got as far as transfer for fresh as it was a freeze all. My clinic never check anything after the initial bloods at time of referral / pre IVF. I wonder if they do if they don't give you Estrogen initially. That has made me feel better! I was feeling so good going into this round until I heard that as it made me panic!
yeah both my short protocol egg collection and fresh rounds no estrogen just progesterone it’s only frozen transfers I’m ever in estrogen for as they do down reg xx
I think it depends on the trigger used - if agonist trigger then they need to give you supplemental oestrogen after EC as it causes a luteal phase defect. If HCG trigger is used then they don't need to give oestrogen, only progesterone. Do you know what trigger they have given you? Either way I would ask your clinic just so you have peace of mind x
I am having a Buserelin trigger, so non-hCG trigger. I emailed them and they called me back yesterday and said that for all fresh transfers, they don't do oestrogen.
My first two fresh i didn’t have oestrogen, just standard stims and hcg trigger. For my third fresh they wanted to put me on oestrogen because it can help with consistency in follicles (first two rounds had a bunch around 14 then some 19-21). Apparently the oestrogen can help the follicles grow at a similar rate x
Interesting, I did not know that! I have never had a fresh, so I have no idea. I am hoping for one this round though. I am also using a non-hCG trigger.
I was not given oestrogen for either of my fresh rounds. They were long protocol but that should not make any difference. When I read my clinic's guide to protocols, none of them included oestrogen for fresh rounds - I think it is standard not to use it for fresh unless there is a specific reason to. xx
