I’ve just received my letter following a hysteroscopy, an it says I have a normal cavity with a slightly wider than normal intra-ostia diameter. Does anyone know what this means ?

Hi Shelly. Slightly wider than "normal. Average size is 8cm from top to bottom and 5 cms wide with 4 cms front to back. This refers to the upper end of the womb near the opening of Fallopian tube. Sometimes to the lower end of womb near cervix, You will have to ask which. Diane

Do you know if it affects pregnancy?

Hi Shelly. Possibly more susceptible to an ectopic pregnancy if bythe tubes. However, most pregnancies attach further down. Diane
