I had my hysteroscopy yesterday, it was a little painful at times but they said all looks okay, was able to drain the fluid and took a biopsy. I had little bleeding after it but this morning have woken up with bad cramps and heavy bleeding almost like a period but it’s to early.
I rang the clinic and they said normally the bleeding isn’t heavy after and if it doesn’t ease to go a&e. I’d obviously rather avoid doing that so wondered if anyone had experienced the same?

Hey hun, sorry your going through this I never bled at all hun, hoping it settles for you if it doesn't do go to a n e sounds odd if your supposed to bleed they would say. Does it say anything on the leaflet they give
It says light bleeding for 24 hrs but mines started this morning and heavy. Now I’m confused could it be my period starting early cause that’s what it feels like 🤷♀️ hope your okay xx
Not normally, it’s due on the 12th. I spoke to the clinic who did my hysteroscopy this morning but I’ve just rang my fertility clinic to see what they say xx
I had some light spotting afterwards but that was it. Did they take biopsies? Might be bleeding from the biopsy site or any intervention whilst they were in there but I'd get it checked out just to be sure.. Hope you're feeling better soon.xx
They took one biopsy but said it was small and shouldn’t be causing heavy bleeding. I’m rang my clinic and waiting for them to ring back and I’m worried if it’s AF early then I should be starting steroids for my FET. Hope your doing okay xx
Oh yeah, damn....mines was early after my hysteroscopy too but then I had to take estrogen for 11 days which stopping brought mine on! Hope you get sorted out!xx
Hi E_05, I think my period was triggered by my first hysteroscopy. I wasn’t due for probably about a week. Hope this is all that’s happened with you. Xxx
Hello lovely, I had a scratch on day 21 of my cycle and it made my period start a few days after this, and I’m normally clockwork! Although it’s a different procedure I wonder if similar impact. It could be that it’s bought it on earlier 🤔. Xx
Hi E_05, I bled for 4-5 days, first day was heavier and then the couple of days was like a light period and then eased off. But I also had implantation cuts, so not sure if that’s why? My doctor said it was normal because I was panicking as well.
If you are concerned though and it is heavy bleeding then maybe go to a&e for peace of mind.
Hi lovely, i have never had a hysteroscopy so i'm afraid I can't help with any advice but didn't want to read and run. If they advised A&E then probably best to go just to be on the safe side. I hope it all settles soon for you. Take care and BIG hugs xxx
