next fet natural vs constructed

I have two last embryos of day six average- 3bb and poor-4cc quality. This is potentially my last go with my eggs. My husband would still argue for one more cycle with our eggs but this is a discussion for later. Anyway I am not sure what type of transfer to go for, the consultant says it's up to me. I had both in the past. The big difference for me is the length of time.

I have short cycles and ovulate pretty early like day 8-10. I had doubts about my lining growth but it gets over 7. As it was in my constructed cycle. I understand this the minimum and some clinics go for over 8 but my clinic insists that they can have success with 7 .

I don't feel especially reassured with the constructed cycle as my clinic does not check for progesterone or anything to be honest apart from lining and they go with the minimum rather optimum. They are one size fits all, no will for looking at my particular circumstances.

I am not very sure that with the natural my hormones are right and my body does what is supposed to do.

the consultant says that they have similar rates for both types. They don't offer any other option (like minimal stimulation, not that I would know that this is right for me either ) and it's up to me apparently.

Good morning.So this is my situation. I’ve never had a frozen transfer before , it’s all new to me so I don’t know how my cycle /lining will be without meds controlling it.

I have 2 frozen embryos but on day 1 . So I don’t know the quality at all. I’m 41 and my history isn’t very good when it comes to quantity or quality.

Therefor I have chosen natural FET . Mainly because I don’t know the quality as I feel it’s an even bigger gamble .

If for example my lining isn’t going to plan or any other issues before thawing , the clinic will allow me to abandon cycle with a fee of £350 and try again the following month. And I can change to medicated if preferred. This helped my decision also , because if nothing else may learn about my natural cycle through the scans and in the grand scheme of things £350 wasn’t too bad .

I’m going to ask my clinic on Monday if they check progesterone levels before or on day of transfer.

I’ve got a longer cycle than you 28-30 days. Ovulate day 17/18. I’m regular and I’ve not had lining problems in the past. But I’ve lots of other issues. And no doubt I’ll find some other issues this month 🙄

If … We knew the quality of the embryos I think I would have found the decision harder.

Hypothetically if we had good quality embryos frozen , my husband and I had agreed we would have gone medicated.

Thank you for your reply. I get what you say about good quality and medicated.

And one part of me wants to have natural because I don't believe the chances are good because of the quality. But in the other hand I feel I might not be giving these embryos the best chance with a natural.

I look at my notes and although the embryos developed into blastocysts they aren't great morphologically and on day 3 there were too slow and had some fragmentation. The doctor and embryologist said good enough to freeze good enough for transfer but I still have doubts.
