To clean or not to clean…

Hi everyone, I am wondering how careful people are with exposure to things such as household cleaning products. Feels like it shouldn’t be a problem as long as you’re wearing gloves and in a well-ventilated area but at the same time, we do want to do everything possible to maximise chances. So I thought I’d check before delegating the cleaning! Thank you 😊

Hi there! I try to have a balance. So for daily cleaning I use an all natural cleaner I buy purdy and figg. I also make my own natural cleaners with lemons and bicarb of soda etc.

But sometimes I just use zoflora or normal cleaner if I want the house smelling really lovely or want to make sure the bathroom is really spotless!

Hope this helps xx

I try to use natural cleaning products....plant based ones...

Also good excuse to delegate the cleaning!!

we went all out plant based for our fresh transfer and got a bfp, not so strict for the following two and bfp on both x

I just avoid strong bleach etc in the 2WW (and changing the cat litter as that’s a no no for pregnancy) other than that I don’t change what I use to clean or wash my hair etc. during the 2WW I do delegate some stuff but that’s it xx

I did not avoid cleaning although we paid for cleaning to keep our weekends free. However, I did not avoid cleaning in between.

I did have to clean a flat we were moving into during my 2WW. I avoided using strong bleach and used Milton instead to disinfect the surfaces. I also used a regular bathroom cleaner. I still had a BFP.

All the best🙏🏾

If you can, definitely delegate the cleaning!

I use Method products as they are non-toxic, use gloves when cleaning and keep the windows open.

Not had my BFP yet, but it’s good to keep toxins away as a lifestyle practice.

Yes exposure to chemicals is a risk. Gloves certainly when using them! Some airfreshers aren't good, or candles, use real oils in a burner. If it's that important. Ventilate the rooms regularly for a few minutes every day.

I heard from a friend of mine who has throat cancer. There is a increased risk of mouth cancer when using mouth wash too much and not rinsing it away!

I either make my own white vinegar and baking soda, or use natural cleaning products! There are so many options out there now. I wouldn't use anything with chemical since I have the option not to. xx
