I am planning my fourth fresh cycle and final attempt with my own eggs. Due to the national shortage of Buserelin I have been offered a one off Decapeptyl injection instead. Has the Buserelin shortage affected you and what has your clinic suggested? Does anyone know anything about or have experience with Decapeptyl? I have asked the nurse to call me tomorrow but would appreciate any of your views or experiences...Thank you! xx

I had a one off prostrap injection instead of burselin in my last FET doe to shortage and I preferred it, didn’t have to remember to take that stupid spray 3 times a day lol I asked loads of questions first though so defo good to have the nurse appointment to speak with them xx
we were told our usual supplier wouldn't be able to get it but I called a few local pharmacies and they had it in stock or could order it for me me it might be worth calling around and asking your clinic for a perscription if you can get it elsewhere.
I am about to start a FET and due to the shortage, my clinic changed my treatment plan and told me I'd have two days less of Buserelin...I don't know if it is a good thing. The consultant seemed to be on board with it.
I had decapeptyl twice as trigger shot. My understanding is that it restarts your brain/hormones. I have low amh and the secOnd time I had this trigger I was doing back to back cycles. So instead of having to do long protocol next, I could do short one again because my base levels very much better. It worked as if I was taking synarel for two weeks. I got twice the amount of eggs than previous cycle from that cycle. Not necessarily better quality. Not sure if this info helps.
