Tiredness on Buserelin

Hi all, I am new to this group. I’m currently on day 13 on Buserelin. I just wondered how you all coped with work when on the injections? I am absolutely floored with these, constantly tired and emotional. I’m lucky enough that my work is understanding and when it’s all too much I can work from home. How do you deal with your tiredness?

It def is hard and tiring but all can do is give self space and time when not at work. Relax as much as possible. Bit at a time and if gets too much tell work in hope can be flexible I.e spreading hours or something. I found the next stage stims more tiring tbh sorry may be different for u. Means to an end to focus on. Hard but worth it if get the positive outcome ☺️🤞 hold on in there for that. The mindful ivf app can be helpful too by way Best wishes xx

I’m glad I’m not the only one feeling it... did you do much exercise? I go to the gym three times a week first thing in the morning for a thirty min run to keep active. Thanks so much for the mindful ivf app, I’ve downloaded it! I do a lot of meditation and I didn’t realise there was a mindful app for ivf so thank you xx

I felt like I'd been hut by a bus on buserelin. Also a but hung over without the joy of having a drink. Hopefully once you get onto stims you'll feel a bit better. I see below you go to the gym. Once you start on the next step it would be best to calm your exercise down, only gentle stuff recommended.xx

That’s really good to know about the exercise... is yoga ok? xx

Gentle yoga will be ok and will possibly help you relax, avoid twisting etc though. You want your body to focus all of its energy on those follicles so take it easy.xx

I’m on day 5 and am very tired and my heads all over the place. Just do what you can with work and take it easy in the evenings and weekends xx

I used to do yoga. It helped me in staying calm. Also, provided my body with the energy required to stay active. Other than this the diet you will consume will have an impact as well. So make sure to include nutrients. Other than this try to stay in a positive environment. Good luck to you. I hope things go well for you.

Thank you so much, I’ll take all this on board. Just out of interest, what kind of diet do you follow? Anything specific? All the best to you too hun xx

Glad it's not just me, I'm on day 6 of my suprecur injections (Burserelin) and I feel absolutely exhausted and really thirsty all the time. Had a hot flush yesterday and felt horrendous. I was meant to be doing a 10k race today but I feel awful this morning so haven't gone .(I run 3 or 4 times a week so 10k is a normal weekly distance for me). I knew I'd have to cut down on the exercise a bit later on, but I'm gutted I'm struggling this early on as I really want to stay fit so I can comforably continue running if I do get pregnant. Feel like this is going to be a long journey 🙁.

I felt absolutely awful on Buserelin- tired, emotional and like I was hungover 🙈 it wasnt fun but I made sure I got lots of rest/naps whenever I could. My hubby was really supportive so managed to get through work and then crashed on the sofa as soon as i got home. We have a dog so still did gentle exercise walking her but that was about it.

I did feel better when I started stims though 😉 so fingers crossed for you.

Wishing you all the best x x
