Hello, I’m hoping to find some ladies who are currently going through IVF. I am currently going through my second round. We had our first round in 2019 and it was a success and we now a beautiful little girl and we are hoping to give her a sibling.
I found that forums really helped during our first round, especially during the 2ww!

Hello Suzannexo I am currently going through a second round of IVF currently had my transfer today. When is yours? We have had one before which wasn’t successful so fingers crossed this is our time. Thanks for asking! I feel fine little cramps here and there but probably just me I suppose looking for something. But honestly feel ok and have been off work so just resting and going for short walks this time round xxx

Yes I’m doing okay this time actually, little emotional at times and feeling tired alot lol but that’s probably because I’m not doing an awful lot being off work. I’ve felt niggles and cramps day 2DPT and nothing else really from that day xxx

I’ve had spotting since Sunday it seems to of gone now. It was only when I wiped, came with some Back ache and light cramps Sunday and yesterday. I got a little freaked out at first, thinking the worse. But after I spoke with my clinic I’ve been calm since my OTD is Friday this week xx
That must have been worrying, but I’m glad for had stopped. How are you feeling about your test date? X
I’m feeling anxious a have been feeling sick for a few mornings now which is strange I’ve had sickness but usually doesn’t last long xx

My OTD is Monday but I’m not very hopeful I’ve had cramps on and off since my transfer xx
It really is, don’t loose hope just yet. I also had cramps on and off both times we did IVF and this time was successful xxxx

We are about to embark on our second IVF journey having had our beautiful baby girl in 2021.
We would now love to get her a sibling too.
I feel this second time round is far more scary than the first as now you are parents, you know all the emotions attached!

How are your little eggs doing? We had collecting today and had 24 eggs but they called to say that could only use 9. Which is a little disappointing 😔 xx
So far so good, thank you. We got our day 1 call yesterday to advise that they were able to perform ICSI on 11 of my eggs and 8 of those have fertilised. Will get a day 3 call tomorrow with a further update but I’m scheduled for transfer on Monday.
Sorry to hear that they could only use 9 of your eggs but that’s still amazing. I know it’s cliche, but it does only take one so you have 9 times that amount to work with xx

All 8 of my embryos are doing well at the moment according to the embryologist I spoke to this morning. Fingers crossed it continues. I’m scheduled for transfer at 10.15am Monday morning 😬 xx

My transfer went smoothly, thank you. We had one 4AA graded embryo transferred which our embryologist said was the best quality and exactly where he wanted to see it for a day 5 embryo. We’ve also been lucky enough to have 2 frozen yesterday (both 4BB) and a further 2 frozen today (one 4AB and one 3AB). Pretty happy that 5 out of our 8 were decent enough for transfer/freezing. I’m feeling really good and optimistic about this one 🥰. How exciting! I wish you all the best for your transfer. Please do let me know how it goes! X

I’m feeling ok thanks. My OTD is Monday 11th. I’ve been testing every day since transfer (initially to test out the trigger shot) and I am getting positive results back but they’re not very dark. I did get tests that aren’t overly sensitive though so that may be why.

Mines the same… 11th July. Oh that’s amazing, how exciting, I think it’s good to get any positive result so early onI’m trying not to do any tests, but I’m feeling anxious 😬
I’ve had a lots of cramps but now my boobs are sore, I just don’t know what to think! Xx
It is. I guess I'm just struggling to enjoy it. I had a positive test during my first cycle last year on OTD and by the time I got to the 7 week scan, there was a sac but nothing in it. I had endless visits back and forth to check if it was ectopic, the pregnancy didn't end on it's own so I had a medical miscarriage procedure. The only difference between that cycle and this at the moment is that I started spotting on 8dp5dt, had a heavy red bleed pretty much all day on 9dp5dt (equivalent of today) and then it ended on 10dp5dt. So far (and fingers crossed) there's been no bleeding/spotting so I'm trying to be positive and trust that I'm not out yet. Fingers crossed I haven't just jinxed myself and it continues as is.
I'm going out to get some FRER tests at the weekend so hopefully those being a lot more sensitive than the tests I have currently will give me a bit more confidence. I've not had a massive amount of symptoms they've mostly been on and off but I've had some cramps and sore boobs at times, feeling ridiculously tired and really quite bloated but the weirdest symptom I've had pretty much constantly since transfer is feeling dizzy. It's so tough because a lot of the symptoms could be from drugs/progesterone but it could also be pregnancy.
Well done for having the strength to hold out and not test early. I did hold out until I had that heavy red bleed last time so I decided to try a different method this time. Not sure testing each day has brought me any less worry or stress to be honest. Fingers crossed we both have some good news coming our way

I know what you mean it’s so hard to know what’s a pregnancy symptom and what is a side effect from the progesterone, The 2ww is a big kind game! Have you done anymore tests?

Yeah, it really is a difficult one. I haven’t really had any ‘symptoms’ the last few days as such other than boobs hurting a little bit here and there. I’ve still been testing everyday and they’re all positive so I’m just hoping and praying it continues. I have a blood test at my GP next week so hopefully they’ll check everything is in order between OTD Monday and my 7wk scan.
Are you still holding out for OTD before testing? If I don’t speak to you before then, I wish you all the best. Hopefully we both get the results we want from this cycle! ❤️ Xx

Im on day 9 of stims of second round for PCOS, first didn't work, feeling in a better place this time but more side effects (higher dose of menopur) just learning to take each day. RDT144 best advice I can give (having been a right mess last time) is LOTs of self care and love, take time off if you have to. Also learning to live day by day not thinking ahead and not getting stuck on a plan or timeline- things will constantly change and just got to roll with it! accessing counsellor linked with the clinic is helpful too

Hi Suzannexo, in a very similar situation here! We had a wee girl through ICSI in 2020 and just started another round. In fact today was my first down regulation injection! We went through so much in previous rounds (failed IVF with no fertilised embryos, ICSI with 3 transfers - 1 BFN, 1 miscarriage and 1 success).... I almost can't believe we're starting it all over again. What stage are you at in your cycle? How are you feeling about this round? x

Goodness you have been on a rollercoaster!
We are also having ICSI, due to have egg collection on Friday. Last cycle we only had one embryo which is now our little girl. Our consultant has told us it could be the same outcome, but I’m so nervous that we won’t have any.

I’m quite nervous this time, but the meds haven’t made me feel poorly this time so that’s a positive!
Oh bless you, it's so hard with so much being outside of your control eh? I'm so pleased your embryo led to a successful pregnancy. I was freaking out a bit as my AMH has plummeted since our last fresh cycle in 2019 and they said I'd probably have far fewer eggs collected this time... but they also kept saying it only takes one and that quality is more important than quantity so trying to hold onto that!
How are you feeling about your egg collection on Friday?
That's great you didn't feel poorly on the meds this time! I felt awful last time but I'm only on day 2 and so far so good. It definitely feels different this time as life feels so busy (working full time and running after a wild toddler) which in a way helps as it doesn't feel so all consuming, but also hard to carve out time to process feelings and make space for feeling rubbish.

Tell me about it! Life is so busy with a toddler and work! I cannot believe we are in June already! I feel like this cycle has gone by so quick.
Egg collection went well we had 14 eggs but this afternoon they called to say they could only use 9 and the sperm that we had frozen is poor and the fresh sample contained 0 sperm, which is obviously upsetting. They said they have done the best they can and they will call on the morning so fingers crossed for another miracle 🤞 xx

Hey! We are trying to make a sibling too - trying naturally with ovulation induction and soon to use our remaining frozen embryo from a failed previous cycle.
IVF didn't work for us last time, but we conceived shortly after the failed cycle to have our little girl who's now 3.5.

Just wanted to say hi, I’m in a very similar situation to you. We did ICSI in 2019 and my son was born in December 2019. We only had 1 embryo and he worked. So we’re trying to make a sibling now. Im going in for egg collection in the morning.. hence the fact that I can’t sleep and I’m writing comments on here at 4.30am. I’m so nervous for egg collection. I was really uncomfortable during it last time so not looking forward to the experience again!

Egg collection was much better this time. I don’t remember much of it to be honest. Just the wait for the calls now. We had good news this morning- of the 9 eggs retrieved 8 were mature enough and all 8 fertilised so we’ve just got to keep our fingers crossed for the next call now.
