Second egg retrieval- question on menopur

Hello all, I will be going for the second egg retrieval early July. Last year I had gonal F together with orgalutron and decapeptyl and ovitrelle a day prior to retrieval. This time menopur will be added. Any advice on taking it? Any side effects commonly encountered?

Hi Blueberry, I used Gonal F on round 1 and switched to menopur the last 4 rounds. It’s a bit more fiddly than Gonal F as it’s not in a pen but u soon get the hang of it, I didn’t find any real side effects while using it. Hope this new plan works better for you x

I will probably have the same faith hehe. I will have both gonal F and menopur ( still have to receive the full protocol). Dod you just have menopur for the last 4 rounds? Thank you for sharing your experience

Yes just Menopur, we have just increased the dose and mixed up the protocol each cycle. X

I found menopur a breeze. You do have to mix it which is a bit of a faff but you soon get used to it - but side effects wise - zero! result! Heaps of luck x
