I’ve just had my ERA results and it’s says it’s pre-receptive and that I need to get another biopsy confirmed with 6.5 days of progesterone? Has anyone had this result? Is another biopsy worth it or can I just do a transfer at between 6 and 6.5 days because anyways you get a +/- 3 hr window?
waiting for my Emma and my Alice just showed secretory endometrium and negative CD 138, is that all it shows?
thank you all in advance really appreciate any replies 💕

Hi there! Not sure about the Emma and Alice result but wanted to comment on the ERA.
Mine showed that my receptivity was actually delayed by a full 48 hours. My clinic had suggested that I could do another ERA with two extra days on the progesterone to confirm, but since I had more than one embryo left, I decided to try another transfer first and see. I’m now going on 14 weeks pregnant as of tomorrow.
I know it’s a very personal decision. I had a few remaining embryos and had already had a significant delay due to other health issues. My experience has been that the first ERA was pretty accurate and I’m glad I didn’t delay my transfer even further by repeating it. It’s worth discussing further with your clinic before making a decision anyway.
Really wishing you the best, regardless of whatever you decide!
First of all congratulations on your pregnancy 💕 You must be so glad you took the right decision!
I’m in a similar situation I have 6 embryos however have already wasted a lot of time and don’t want to further delay it.
My report says I am pre-receptive and to repeat the biopsy with 6. 5 days of progesterone rather than 5.5 days which I had for the FET.
Did your report say the same thing? And did you do the transfer with progesterone as per what they suggested for the repeat biopsy or what you did for the actual ERA?
Thank you for sharing your experience I feel so much better.
Hi, yes! My report suggested an extra two days of progesterone in addition to what I took leading up to the ERA, so that’s what we did for the second transfer and it worked. I felt the same. Just didn’t want to delay any longer, so figured I’d go for the transfer, and luckily this time it worked. I did get the Emma/Alice done as well but both came back normal so it really was just down to the timing for me.
So glad you’re feeling better! I remember feeling very skeptical about whether or not the extra days on progesterone would make a difference, but obviously the report was pretty accurate.
Thank you for the congrats as well! I only share because throughout my journey, I have been so desperate to hear success stories to keep me going. I only want to offer some hope. 💛
Yes I totally agree that sharing your success stories really help. My doctor advised the same not to repeat and will do the transfer as per the repeat biopsy time. Thank you again so much really appreciate it 🥰🥰
I thought you only needed to do another biopsy if you were post receptive. Pre-receptive means you haven’t gotten to the window when the lining is most receptive to an embryo but if you add however many hours of progesterone you’ll most likely be in that window. If you’re post receptive though it means you have passed the window but you don’t know by how much so you need to use less time on progesterone and re-test to see if you’re in the window. Does that make sense?
Yeah that makes sense to me. And that’s what my doctor said as well - all he said was you don’t need another biopsy and we would just do it at 6.5 days.
But how do you know if you need progesterone for 6 days or 6.5 or 7days?
Interesting. I didn’t think you had to repeat unless you were post receptive. I think it comes down to what you feel comfortable with, what your doc recommends and how many embryos you have. Good luck!
yeah its a diff decision! I'm I right in thinking that if you take progesterone for 5.5 days then they can advise if you need progesterone for 5 or 6 days but anything outside that like 4.5 days or 6.5 days they cant say? or I'm I just making that up?
I thought you were past the window it couldn’t tell you by how much but if you were before your window it could tell you how much more you needed even if it was 1 or more days more. I don’t know though, maybe ask your doctor. Sorry I can’t be more helpful!
