We are considering the endomeTRIO testing after 2 failed transfers with top quality blastocysts. I was just wondering -
1. Have people found this testing helpful?
2. Which provider they have used to have the test? (Please DM me)
3. Can you do the test without having to down reg? I don’t down reg in my ivf cycles but I’ve read I’ll need to for the ERA?

I had the test done earlier this year, I’m answer to your questions;
1. Made no difference to my outcome as got BFN, my transfer window was already correct, had no infections just slightly low lactobacillus. I guess it was something to rule out.
2. Done directly through my clinic
3. Had to do it as a mock cycle as if you’re going to transfer, but on transfer day they do the biopsy instead.

hello! Thank you for your response. Some women seem to swear by the ERA others not so much! It’s so confusing. I’m sorry it didn’t lead to your BFP. Can I ask if you took probiotics to help with the lactobacillus issue? And would you mind telling me which clinic you had it done with this? (Think you may have to DM this if you don’t mind)

hiya I had this test after 2 bfn and 2 chemical we used the results and got a positive on the next transfer. I’d definitely go for it! It was a normal protocol like I was having a transfer but instead of transferring of transferring they took a biopsy xxx
where did you have the Endome trio done and rough cost?
I had it done at a clinic in Spain £1100 for the three tests plus meds xxx
thank you boo718, I’m so on the fence with it at the moment 🤦🏻♀️ I want it done but I don’t want to have to wait until next year for a transfer. I’ve just had a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy where they removed stage 4 endometriosis. I’m hoping that will have helped! But is that more reason to have it done or less! It’s really confusing.

Hi, there was a recent meta-analysis that showed that the ERA is of no benefit and if changes are made based on the results it can actually be detrimental to outcomes. HEFA mark it red.If you want to know if you are receptive or not you might be better having the dEFT at Coventry.
I think this is all still unproven. It could just be you get lucky on one cycle and not another.

hi, thank you for your response. I’ve seen Prof Quenby at Coventry and spoken to the other prof there. I think the only thing that puts me off is that they have quite a small sample size of women (I think it’s about 800) that they’ve based research on. I will look into this again tho as it may be a good compromise between doing nothing and doing the era. Did you go for this at Coventry? Find it useful?

personally I would go for immune testing. 3 miscarriages grade A embryos and one ectopic. I have high nk cells and high inflammation. No idea if my next transfer will be success of course ….but I have some answers.
I would go down this route x
hi DG2022, thank you for your response. Yes I’m already on an immune protocol for high NK cells. I take 25mg Prednisolone, intralipids and Clexane. Can I ask what you will take for you next transfer after finding this out? x x

hi what did you decide in end? I’m in similar position with 3 failed transfers and one left and clinic suggested it but it’s expensive - where have you found as cheapest? And not sure what to do!
hi Babymagic. I didn’t have the full testing but I did have a uterine biopsy which checked for NK cells and endometritis. I travelled to Germany from Ireland because the test was so much cheaper there. The result showed my NK cells were high and I had blood thinners and steroids to deal with this. I also changed my protocol from a fully medicated cycle to a modified natural where you use your own cycle to dictate embryo transfer timing which avoided the need for an ERA. After two negatives on medicated, my first modified natural resulted in a positive but an early loss at 5 weeks. I then had my biopsy and I had one final transfer where I incorporated the protocol for high NK cells (blood thinners / steroids) and using the modified natural protocol again but adding low dose gonal f on days 3, 5, 7 & 9 to encourage a few follicles to recruit (I was 46 years old at the time & ovulating regularly). I am now 16 weeks and all going well so far. Wishing you lots of luck and hoping you will get your positive soon.
wow thanks for this RACMumm and congratulations! 💕 I’ve not heard of the inclusion of gonal f on certain days, so that’s good to know. I too have high nk cells and follow an immune protocol for each transfer. The amount of meds I take is ridiculous! I have alarms every hour to remind me what I’m doing! I’ll be honest tho I’m turning 40 in January and after 3 failed transfers and a chemical I’m starting to lose hope 😔 x x
don’t lose hope Babynagic37. I was 40 when I started trying this time. Covid put a huge delay on things but my successful transfer was at age 46 🫣. I forgot to add that I had intralipid infusions as well. The first was a week before transfer, the second was after my positive test and the last was I think around 4 or 5 weeks later. My white blood cell count was checked to determine if I needed another infusion & I think the cut off was 10. Anything over 10 and the infusion was needed. Fingers and toes crossed for you. You will get there x

I’ve had this done and also the biopsy for the NK cells.
I had ERA which showed my implantation window was a couple of hours more but I still never resulted in a BFP.
I agree I would look at the immune response testing as after 8 rounds all with BfN I got a BFP on an immune protocol. Unfortunately I had an early miscarriage but also had a natural pregnancy the month after (which has never happened in 6 years of TTC) again resulted in miscarriage but I feel like the immune protocol was the big difference to all of this, I had the NK cell biopsy of the uterine lining taken last Monday and I am waiting on results.
