Recurring Chronic Endometrisis, anyone else had problems getting rid of this?🤯

Hi 👋 I suffered two miscarriages last fall, so before our next cycle I’ve had a new biopsy of the uterus lining and again it’s showing substantial chronic endometrisis.

The test I took is similar to the EMMA/ALICE test but my test only shows if there is a high number of plasma cells which means there is an inflammation of the uterine lining. (= can lead to implantation failure, miscarriage ++)

*********************************

More background info:

🩸I sent a menstrual blood sample to Greeze 14 months ago which showed evidence of mycoplasma and only 8% of the healthy bacteria lactobacillus.

💊They gave me a 14 days antibiotic treatment with Doxycycline and Zinadol . 2 months later I took a biopsy of the uterine lining with my Norwegian IVF clinic and it showed substantial chronic endometriosis. They were surprised!

💊New antibiotic treatment= 14 days of Augmentin and Flagyl (metronidazol)

I had a IVF cycle a few months later last fall (with vaginal probiotics) which resulted in a missed miscarriage at 8 weeks. (Don’t know the reason)

💊Before my first ever FET in November I took another 10 days of Doxycycline and then vaginal probiotics the whole cycle and pregnancy which ended at 7 weeks after spotting continuously. (Had super low progesterone, probably I didn’t respond well to oral progesterone 🙈😢)

We have lots of problems with poor egg and sperm quality but we have improved our IVF outcomes a lot the last year with supplements so I just don’t want to spoil my last round of IVF due to the fact that I can’t seem to get rid of this Chronic Endometritis.

*********************************

💊The clinic is now giving me another 14 days of Augmentin and Flagyl (metronidazol)

But I am not very hopeful 😢 They don’t really care to test again before we start the next cycle and I am also inpatient as this process has taken 3 months finding out and we are getting broke from taking so many supplements. 🤪

Any advice is much appreciated!

Baby dust to all of you 💫

Hi Barenina,

Sorry to hear about your miscarriages. I had high mycoplasma and low lactobacillius from an Invivo test which is a vaginal swab as my clinic didn't do the Alice and Emma tests, only the ERA, which came back receptive.

I had a 7 day course of Doxycycline (2 per day) and vaginal and oral probiotics after that but I never retested to see if its cleared up we just went for the transfer. I was never told its chronic endometritis though, just that it was bad bacteria that can cause miscarriage and implantation failure.

I understand not wanting to delay further as we were in the same position. What did you do in the end? I am waiting to test after our transfer so hoping the antibiotics/probiotics helped 🤞

Has your clinic said why it could be that it is not clearing up as it seems the antibiotics shouls do the job?

xx
