I’m attempting my second frozen transfer. Lining started well at baseline scan but had not progressed beyond 6.9mm at second scan a week later so the clinic upped my Progynova dose from 8mg to 10mg daily. Just had my third scan after 3 days of the higher Progynova dose, and my lining has the right trilaminar pattern but has got thinner by over 1mm! Anyone know how that can happen? Given the high estrogen dose I thought it was impossible. I’m now on patches and if no improvement by Monday they will cancel the cycle. Has anyone else had this? Is there anything else I can do which would help? All tips welcome, thanks!

Hi, I had this but mine didn’t get over 4mm the first time so was cancelled. This time round I got up to 6mm so they waited 10 days then did the transfer and it all looked fine so you might still be ok. They said the most important thing is that there are the three layers. Second time round I tried sooo many different things! I got there but don’t know if any of it helped. I took raspberry leaf tablets, Pregnacare conception tablets, ate so much spinach, Brazil nuts, pineapple, did yoga hip opening stretches and had acupuncture! Hope your next scan is more promising. I’ve certainly not had an easy ride but I’m 6 and a half weeks now so fingers crossed for you too xx
I was also put on the patches as well as high progynova dose - that should make a difference. I also avoided exercise and only ate hot food. Who knows what made it work!
Ive had a few issues with my lining in the past stalling. I really struggled to get past 7mm and this usually resulted in an increase in progynova. I also take high strength Vit E 800ug from superdrug which I think helped me so you could try that. The only other thing I would say is Ultrasound is very person dependent and different people often get different measurements. The trilaminar appearance shows quality and often this is more important than thickness though my own clinic wouldnt let me proceed to the next stage of progesterone for transfer unless I was around 7mm mark. Im also trying patches this time too, and I seem to be going ok. Good luck.xx
P.S the other things to try is hot water bottles on your tummy, hot baths, keep your feet warm too!xx
Thank you - I’m trying the vit E recommendation and will keep my fingers crossed that the patches have done the trick. It’s just so frustrating when the Progynova worked fine before! IVF is the gift that keeps on giving....
No advice but can totally relate - I’m currently on 10mg of progynova daily and lining doesn’t seem to be responding!! 😕 facing the possibility of a second cancelled frozen cycle!!
Prior to this my lining had always previously responded to even lower dozens of progynova!! 🤷♀️ Wishing you the very best for a thicker lining!! 🤞🏻 Xx
