Tips Between Egg Collection & Transfer

Hi everyone, I had my egg collection on Thursday and we’ve got 5 fertilised. All being well, transfer should be Tuesday.

I’m just wondering if there’s any tips, diet, supplements, activities I should be doing between now and Tuesday? I’ve read so much but now I’m here, I can’t remember half of it. I’m taking a multivitamin which includes Folic Acid, Omega 3, Vit D, Vit E and CoQ10. Should I carry on? When should I stop any of these? Obviously, I’ll continue with multivitamin but anything else?

What about diet? I’m avoiding alcohol and caffeine & eating as healthy as I can but I’m not perfect. Anything I should add?

I’m up for trying anything.

Many thanks x

Hi Rubyr3d, sounds like you have it covered. Keep with the multivitamin & stick with the healthy eating. It’s easy to get caught up in all the strange and unusual suggestions but I’m a believer in balanced healthy eating ( treats included) and a bit of light excercise to keep me sane. As with you I cut out caffeine & alcohol but not the occasional sweet treat. X Good luck with the transfer.

HiI would continue to take folic acid and vitamin D as these are the main two recommended in pregnancy. I personally kept on taking everything until test day in case I needed to do another cycle. If positive, drop the Coq10 and vitamin E , others are fine to take. Make sure multivitamin doesn't have vitamin A in it.

Focus on a balanced diet, good hydration and small regular meals to reduce any bloating and gentle exercise. I was also I told use a hot water bottle and paracetamol for pain relief if needed. No heat on abdomen after transfer though. Good luck next week x
