Does anyone know any do's & don't's in the 5 days between collection and transfer?
Desperately praying some of my 6 fertilised embryos will be going strong on Monday ready for transfer 🤞we never got this far last time so I'm anxious for Monday!
Does anyone know of anything I should do or should avoid before the go back in?
I really wanted acupuncture around my transfer but I can't find one to do it on bank holiday Monday 😬
Could I go to a spa? Or get a massage? Or is that off the cards? Should I exercise? Rest? Avoid sun? Eat particular food? It's a minefield 🙈
Any advise would be amazing. Thanks 😊 x

Im on my 4th round (1 fresh failure, 1 fet failure and 1 fet success but misscarried at 6.5 weeks in May) and honestly don't think theres anything you should or shouldn't do apart from not drinking alcohol and anything strenuous on your body like fast running...i am a keen runner but always stop a few days before retrieval (so bloated its hard to lug myself around :-p) then as i didn't over stumulate this time i did run prior to transfer....then on the day we asked to sit down for 30 mins (did on the successful round) then home to watch a funny film...i heard laughter helps the day of transfer i relaxed but still did things like made dinner then from the next day i went on little walks, upping them but at a slow pace.
Try to relax and laugh lots, oh and keep your feet warm
Oh and dont worry about accupuncture, i did it for my 2nd go but didnt for my 3rd and that one worked (i didnt feel relaxed from it though to be fair)
No problem. Sorry i concerntrated more on after transfer. Between collection and transfer id definately say just do what feels right....remember there really is nothing we can do to influence the outcome either way sadly xx
Hi Sharpy. I just finished my second ivf. I had my second beta today and it looks like my numbers aren't doubling and are way too low for hope
I did acupuncture but I don't know how effective it was to be honest. I spent a lot of money on it and am not sure it's worth it. I drank pomegranate juice and ate a lot of protein. My lining was always on the thinner side and I heard those help. I don't know if this chemical pregnancy had to do with embryo, lining or something else so it's hard to find hope for next time when you're not sure what caused the failure. But the pom juice, protein and drinking bone broth, are a few things that are easy to do so why not?? Good luck on Monday! Congrats on your 6 embabies! Is Monday day 3 post retrieval or 5?
I think main advice is eat healthy, no alcohol, no strenuous exercise but walks are good and no hot baths so I would prob avoid the spa if you were thinking jacuzzi etc. Good luck with the transfer.
